1. i have quite a strange question which probably came to me in a dream or something. Does anyone know, how many small arms rounds were fired by each nation in WW2? Or an average per solider? i don't know how anyone would know this, but there's always a chance.
2. hi 1. You can't. If you imagine a string of terraced houses, the have walls built between them. So to be able to get from house to house without going outside, you'd have to blow a hole in the wall, which isnt modelled. 2. Same as before, there is a wall between the buildings so your troops cannot see or fire into the next building. 3. the door thing...i didnt think that a door in the building made a difference, after all its only a graphic. I'm sure you can enter any building through any wall that it exposed, i.e. any wall that isnt touching another wall. i believe that the wall issues will be changed in CMBB, but only for factories, houses will still be the same
3. dunc85@hotmail.com although return of games may be sporadic due to college, etc
4. you'd probably have to set it up according to games played against humans. I got my CM last christmas, but have yet to play against a human
5. Do you try to give them limited firing lanes? As my MG's often seem to get pounded by tanks when they are placed upfront.
6. I'm having trouble with positioning MG's when defending. Do you put them at the front of your defence so they can fire at oncoming troops from a distance, or do you place then further back, so they attack at closer range?
7. I meant to add in my other post, that it would only work for single player, as of course there are the compatibility issues for multiplayer. As i play a lot of my games against the AI, I think it would be good, just to experiment, and see how weapons would compare against each other. Obviously, the possibility of cheating would exclude its use from multiplayer. Then again, thinking about it, wouldn't it just work the same way as mods? i.e. If you apply a mod, it only appears like that on your computer. So the same would apply for modded units. They would only work on your computer unless you exchanged files with the other player. Have i confused you enough? [ 10-29-2001: Message edited by: dunc ]

8. I really like your idea. It would be great for specific scenarios, such as a commando raid, or for making ready-made POWs by creating unarmed squads. I have a feeling that its not very likely to happen, but I can always hope.
9. You imagine how you'd defend the bay where you spent your summer holiday relaxing you make a CM map of the place where you went on holiday. yes...i am that sad.
10. not really a funny one, but it's true... I had a dream that I was IN Combat Mission. But it wasnt like real life, just like a computer game. spooky or...you look out for likely ambush points when driving your way to work. [ 10-27-2001: Message edited by: dunc ]

11. Is it possible for mines to be recognised incorrectly? such as, AT mistaken with infantry mines.
12. I'll have a look. Don't know when I'll get to play it though, as I'm back to 6th form college in a few days...oh joy email in my profile [ 09-02-2001: Message edited by: dunc ]
