actually I went on holidays with me wife to France saw the whole Normandy area, told her tons of history stories, saw the battlefields (ie omaha beach, Villers Bocage) and she was to my suprise, interested..!!! wierd, later at home watched Saving Private Ryan (suprised me too since when it was in Kino she said "ew a war movie no way") hmmm.. kinda cool though, later she said to me "now I understand why you are interested in Military and History" she suprisingly leaves me alone to play CM and as long as I dont find a secret letter to a "john doe" then I think everything is ok. I found doing two or three evenings just something with the wife keeps her happy... and boy AM I happy I have Stuka in the grinder with our PBEM. Actually my wife is getting to know my PBEM players cuz she hears me scream "damn no crap Sludge...grrr" or "Ha Stuka you think you can out tank me!!".... as for trying to do a hot seat with her on CM hmmm... maybe she won't like it maybe she would.. I just have fear she would like it and then I have a problem cuz then I won't have a chance to play it anymore..

don't worry von Lucke I think I have Stuka in the grinder.. he bought a ton o weenie tanks but with this billard table of a battle field its going to be like well... rim shot the 8 ball corner pocket.

well I got me at home my ol Power PC (mac) 300mhz, macMagic pro vid card..ok graphics can be better..doh. but I am making the scenario where the 3rd Canadian Regiment (yes I said regiment) and the 12th SS Regiment (yes regiment gain) first made contact north west of Caen, its a max map 3.2km by 2.8km or so and a hell of alot of tanks and troops, it took three minutes to rev that baby up and takes the computer thinking time of about 5-10 minutes and another 5 minutes just to crunch the number to watch a one minute round..guha... but what a show..wowsa.. and no slow downs while I watch the movie.. cool yup good post I look foward to seeing any updates BTS pumps out nice thread.. ah such a change.

right I kinda know where your comming from Jochen, I got me a wife or shes got me.. hmmm na ja. heh shes going through a hard time in school (shes student teacher here in germany) ooh and its tough, I don't know what for a hard time your girlfriend has but me wife can be very ticked off at my computer (its ok it doesnt like her either). I find time when she has to get her work done for the next class and so on.. best bet if she comes to you while your playing and say "hi, boy my day was tough".
