  1. I'm going to go with the 55 gallon fuel drum attack ala Battle of the Bulge. So, what do I win?
  2. Dark clouds: I'm stuck in Atlanta @ TechEd until Thursday night. Silver lining: I can download the game unfettered by your selfish hogging of all the 1's and 0's. Tarnished silver lining: You gits already have it. I dunno if I'm blessed or cursed.
  3. @Sakai... Same plan to take the farm first..same result as you. Did the right flank thing as you and...well...got destroyed. Some bugger with a mortar was dropping rounds all over the joint. Absolutely love the game. Only issue is that I'm headed to TechEd in Hotlanta next week. So please, Steve, for the love of God don't release the game then. There is only so much bourbon in Georgia to keep me sedated. XOXO, vcents
  4. Done! More room for your precious 1's and 0's you gits.
  5. Out of respect for Cull I will stop my download in about 17 minutes..give or take an hour or so.
  6. Only link I've heard of being defective is the US link. German link should supply the correct goods and it does weigh in at 571 megs.
  7. Still holdin' out for 11:00 pm CDT, which for those of us good with the maths mean that it will be 12:00 am in the wilds of Maine. But, of course if the demo still doesn't arrive I'll still be here until midnight our time....just to be safe.
  8. You're blind if you think that we'll get it anytime soon. [suppressed giggle]
  9. I finished of my brother's bottle last weekend. He needs to learn to hide that stuff better when I come over.
  10. 42 on Sunday...and with a new baby boy. Our first. I feel 60 now. I was from a small town in Nebraska so wargaming in my early years involved plastic green army men, homemade rules and dice. I was then lucky enough to stumble upon B-17 Queen of the Skies, and since many of my mates weren't into gaming the solitare life was for me. Ambush (and all the modules) keep me entertained through college. I did get Up Front but never could find anyone to play...God I loved just looking at that game. After college I crossed paths with that insufferable cur Cull and Squad Leader became part of my rotation, as well as Hornet Leader. Then CMBO dropped and I thought that was the apex of all that was good and holy. Now this. I'm giddy.
  11. That brought a smile to my face Blackcat. So many threads back in the day shuddered to a halt with those two simple words.
  12. To me getting back on the boards is like finding that favorite hooded sweatshirt from college that your wife hid in the closet. You know the one...comfortable as hell and peppered with several stains of unknown origin. As soon as you put it on memories come flooding back about all the great times you had and you wonder why you forgot about it in the first place. Except with CMBx my memories don't include me be loaded. Well, most of the time they don't.
  13. My birthday is May 1st. I can't think of a better gift than a release that week. Failing that, you can just send me a download link on the 1st. I promise that I'll keep quiet for at least a couple of hours.
  14. I too offer a heartly welcome back. I recently came scurrying back when I found out the CMBN was hitting the shelves soon. It's good to have you back.
  15. Which reminds me of: Free beer tomorrow. Free scotch yesterday.
  16. A SNES Burger Time cartridge and Dorosh's mom's phone number. That IS what you want, right?
  17. I'd just like to publicly state that Moon is an allright guy. Now...the nonsensical postings can REALLY begin.
  18. Heck yeah! Frenchy, if your enterprising cohort needs a beta tester, I would love to help out. Now, here's hoping that Hornet Leader is ported.
  19. I am so all over this game when it comes out.
  20. Oh yes.....B-17. First (and honestly the best) war game I ever bought. My buddy and I used to play B17 after school..one would roll the dice and take care of the paperwork, while one ran the charts. Great fun. We, of course, filled out the roster with our buddies. I'll never forget the BIP (burst in plane) we experienced on our fifth mission..everyone KIA'ed. We sorta looked at each other with wierd expressions. I drug out B17 last year and attempted to play a couple of missions. I must be a computer whore now because after a couple of rounds of rolling the dice and looking up the results, I was annoyed. Not at the game, mind you, but at the persistant thought in the back of my mind "This should be ported to the computer." Which leads me to this: Someone needs to make this Pheonix rise from the ashes. C'mon guys...make me (and Cull, Larry, and the rest) happy.
