  1. Skipper, Aslo remember the fact that before the invasion the Soviet Union or Stalin and hi scronies killed milions of there own people before the invasion. They commited genocide, killing jews, Kalmaks (sp) and other Russians minorities. The Soviet Union at the time commited same exact crimes that Nazi Germany under Hitler commited. Basicly it means that neither side was better than the other. Both sides commited the same attrocities no matter how you look at it. Before the war, during and after. Ofcourse you can't generalize, there were those on both sides who did not take part in these crimes, it comes down to idividuals and the people who order these crimes, i.e. Hitler, Stalin...
  2. Thanx Micheal, very interesting to hear from another German veteran. When you say published his letter, what do you mean? Did he write a book about his account during the war? Thanx again Micheals and Gary ofcourse.
  3. I am also thinking the game will be out late April or May!
  4. Well this isn't a battlefield, but I might be wrong, could of been. Anyway, me and my Grandfather were working on his farmhouse once (in the Czech Republic). We were digging holes to plant trees. Well after about a few hours of digging and several holes dug, we hit some objects. We keep digging, we dug up some German WWII Helmets and un-exploded shells, there were about 10 shells and a full box of ammo. It was incredible, the shells were fairly big, we both had to carry them as they were quite heavy and we didn't want to drop them. My Grandfather still has all of it, all the shells, the box full of ammo and the helmet. He restored all of them. He cleaned them them and everything. He has them displayed at his house behind a glass case, they are all nice and shiny! Though I think he defused them, just to be sure. He has a lot of experience with explosives, he built a small bomb before on New Years, we went to the lake through it in and watched it explode. Amazing site, they water sprayed some 50ft in the air, was amazing.
  5. DAMN, she's beauty!!! I am going to hug her, kiss her and even cuddle with her, I am not letting her go. No this one will be more than all the other ones. I had my way with one and let her go, get a new one, have my way with her again and pass her along. NOOO, not this one, this one I am going to have my way with and still keep her and even maybe have others like her, yep she is worth keeping.
  6. Micheal, I am going to have to agree with you on that mmmmm k! Milf Milf Mifl
  7. Commisar, He said MGs, hence the s as in plural, multiple MGs. Could of been 2 or 3 or more but I am sure it was more than one!
  8. Thats amazing! WOW, good job, can't wait to get my hand on these trees, good work!
  9. i am pretty sure it will be to scale, why wouldn't it?! The vehicles are now to scale, buy a lynx and a KT and put the next to each other. Notice they are different size, by a alot. So, I am sure CMBB will be to scale and will have the correct measurments for vehicles.
  10. LOL, did they have the internet in those days?! Did the Germans have gamey force mixing? Heer with Falshrimjeagers?!
  11. Heinz Guderian was one of the Generals who opposed operation Barbarosa. He did a study on the soviet Union military and when he finnaly got all the figures together, number of tanks, men, planes and so on. He was reluctanct to attack the Soviets. He also states the industrial capacity and the natural resources the Soviet Union has available. He did submit this to Hitler, but that was overlooked. I can't remember where I read this, but if I remember I'll post the source.
  12. Same with me, I always wonder what happens to the guys in the pictures, do they survive, are they captured and so on. It is really interesting to look at a picture especially when there is a face and a name to go with the face. When I read the book (Grenadiers) or other books (Deadly Combat comes to mind) I sometimes get attached to the soldier/author writting the book or even the soldiers/friends the author mentions. Bubi Burose, the soldier assualting the russain Armored car was killed later in the war, I think it was in the same month too. And other name stands out from the book, Gerd Bremer. He was a company leader of a motorcycle company. Kurt Meyer refers to him as very heroic and as a very good leader. Here is a picture of Gerd Bremer (from Grenadiers, by Kurt Meyer): [ February 17, 2002, 09:21 PM: Message edited by: Rommel22 ]
  13. Here are the shots from Grenadiers, by Kurt Meyer. He describes encountering the T-34 for the first time, they shot at it with 3.7mm Paks and some Armored Cars to no affect. So "assault troops leader Bergemann fell while trying to destroye this T-34". Thats the quote next to the pic and the pic shows a soldier with a satchel charge running up to a T-34. He is about 10m from it, but you can tell he was already hit, he is holding is stomach and is sort of leaning over as if he is about to fall. In the same shot is a StugIII about 25m from the T-34, facing it frontally. (The soldier is 10m to the side of the T-34) Right after it shot it from 25m and Knocking out the T-34. The T-34 is on fire. (I circled Bergmann) Here is another shot, where Bubi Burose destroyes a Russain armored car.
  14. Micheal Dorosh, I found a picture and an passage from a book you decribe, exactly. It's called Grenadiers, by Kurt "panzer" Meyer. The T-34 is on fire. This all one picture! There is a whole parapgraph about this action, I'll write it over and post it in a bit.
  15. And the Russians took some more in 1939. I am also going with B, from what I've heard and read, it was most likly that Stalin did not want to help the polish uprisisng and gave the go ahead for the Germans to do instead. I also agree though that the russian armies east of the vitsula were spent, they just traveled hundreds of miles, some from the pripet marshes, so they were in no possition to help with a major assault.

  17. Yea I am going to have to beg for a Beta battle too. It would be great to read an AAR from CMBB. Please, please BTS, have some BETA testers fight it out on the CMBB battle field, would be awesome...
  18. Everyone, hide and do not answer Super Teds e-mails, cause if you do there is so thingy that makes you do what he says. I aint opening anything he send me anymore cause I am scared now... Everyone!!! DUCK AND COVER, it's Super Ted!
  19. LOL that was just to funny, so I made it my sig Dave, if thats ok?!
  20. I fought him twice, first time I fought him, I beat him, though it was not for the ladder, so he might of went easier on me. Second time it was for the ladder, he beat me, in a good way. If you want to see how he wins and beat the crap out of people 52X in a row, fight him yourself. Best way to learn is to see how he fights, I highly recommend it!
  21. Hey, Congrats Fred! I mean Ted or who ever you are, Fred....
  22. DAMN YOU MACE!!! thats what i was going to say! Yes they do seem like fixtures for the kubelwagons to make them look like tanks, "dummy tanks". Which Rommel used extensivly trough his campaing in North Africa.
  23. Great bone, thanx MadMatt! I am also thrilled about being able to use premade maps for QBs, I can't wait!
  24. By Gamey tactics I really meant gamey units, nontheless, if you don't want these SMG vs British Airborne and Tigers vs Sherman 76s, play some good pre-made scenarios so none of you know what side has what. Works like a charm!
