I will add the last thing this game series needs is bureaucracy intervention nonsense by Slitherine. Release the games when they are ready, ffs. You all already wasted a year on this nonsense PBEM++ which was clearly a downgrade. I assume this was heavily persuaded by/forced upon by Slitherine.
I'm not mad or anything but it has to be said. What the hell are we pushing release dates back for? These games are niche and pushing release dates makes absolutely no sense until you can market the game as something more. I.e. multiplayer.
I wouldn't doubt a large percentage of people see the lack of multiplayer and are turned away.

It must be obvious to any sane person that when somebody takes a weapon and goes to another man's house to kill him to take that house for himself - that that somebody cannot be a "decent person" by any definition.

Only if the person himself thinks that somehow killing and stealing is above "decent". Propaganda may only add fuel to that world view.
And even then the fact is - there's simply no possible excuse for russian soldiers being here - therefore it's absolutely normal that they all must die since they don't want to stop killing Ukrainians.

I don't think anyone had a problem with you posting about Tucker Carlson's attack on Republicans and on Zelensky.
But if your honest about it, you did more than post about Carlson didn't you?  You have gone on to paint all Republicans and all of Fox News with the same broad brush as Tucker Carlson.  (Full Disclosure; I watch Special Report with Bret Baier at 5pm on Fox. I recommend Special Report. It's hard news and has both Democrats and Republicans intelligently discussing the issues. I also watch a lot of the Fox Business channel.)

I stand with you against Tucker as I think everyone on this forum probably does.  The only push back you got is when you used a broad brush against BFC customers who are Republicans and/or customers who watch any Fox news.  You said yourself that Tucker attacked "old" Republicans.  You went on to defend the Ukrainians (as was proper IMO) but then turned and took your own shot (wingnuts?) at Republicans.  You then compelled some of those customers to push back even if they were initially with you.  You really think that veteran, combat medic, Beta tester you admonished is pro-Russian?  C-mon Man!!!  You did (caused) that!!        
IMO the proper way to deal with situations like Tucker Carlson is not to censor, band, dox, investigate, harass his family, send the IRS or FBI in order to shut him down because we disagree with him.  But instead use him as an opportunity to debate and show in a reasonable, intelligent way why our ideas are better (because they are).    
It seems Tucker likes to debate (yell and argue often) people on his show.  You, Steve, would be an excellent person to go on Fox and put him in his place.  If you said the word many of us here could call, e-mail, Twitter, FB his office.  I think the odds are better than 50% he would eventually give in and debate you.  You would have an audience of four million on one of the most popular shows in the US. Even if you only connected with one million of the viewers think how great that would be for the Ukrainian cause.  In theory it might be good exposure for BFC.  The computer game designer that predicted the war and spanked Tucker.     

To be fair, Ukrainians are complaining not about not getting help which cannot be reasonably given under existing constraints, but about not getting stuff which can be reasonably given but is withheld very unreasonably.
I mean the German excuse "We will not give Leopard 1s, because tanks = Hitler", or the US refusal to provide ATACMS because it can be used to hit Russia proper - while the Ukrainians have successfully hit proper Russia with their own devices, and moreover, there is nothing wrong with hitting Russia proper in the 200th day of high intensity war with Russia. These do not make sense, so it is no wonder that people fighting for their lives are angry about getting nonsense answers and suspect that they are being lied to.
I think some of those publicly presented arguments are indeed false, e.g. the real reason for not giving F-16s to the Ukrainians is that the small number of aircraft which can reasonably be donated to Ukraine would quickly get destroyed for no effect. If that is the case, it should perhaps be more honestly stated.
 

Not to be glib, but every spy movie and every superhero movie has that scene where the hero (or villain) 'pretends' to surrender then strikes when their guard is down. Its that 'Captain America in the elevator' scene. Its John Maclean in Die Hard. Unfortunately, all the dumb guys have seen all those movies and think its a thing to try in real life. Combat ops isn't over until after the last surrendered soldier has his hands tied and his body properly searched.

I don´t think it has much to do with Trump. My theory is that the pull of the allied forces from Afghanistan and Kabul in 08/2021 was the trigger which was interpreted by Putin as a sign of weakness of the west and made him think he could get through with an invasion of Ukraine without the west significantly supporting Ukraine. Anyways it´s just my theory. Putin is a madman, so I could be totally off with my assessment.

Indeed, I have not objected to, nor supported, any viewpoint on foreign politics because I realize that all I would bring would be a distorted American perspective. I have no basis for getting into those discussions...either pro or con or trying to tamp them down to prevent spiraling off-topic.
 
I see a lot of blame put on former President Trump for this invasion. Funny how Putin only invaded AFTER President Trump left office...
1. The Russian Hoax has been explicitly proven to be a forgery created by the Hillary Clinton campaign. All the "Russia Russia Russia" hysteria in the US media has been conclusively shown to be a political ploy by the DNC, supported by the Mainstream Media.
2. President Biden is on tape bragging about corrupting Ukraine to protect his son, Hunter, from a criminal investigation by the authorities in Ukraine. He used his position as vice president under President Obama to wield a $1 Billion dollar stick over Ukraine. This is on tape.
3. The debacle of the US withdrawal from Afghanistan occurred under President Biden. Whether that withdrawal was warranted or not is immaterial: the process of the withdrawal was a total fustercluck. How much weakness did this signal to Putin?
China...by sending wealth to the Biden family via Hunter...has shown the world what the Biden family cares about.
Putin obviously thought that Biden was weak and would not involve the US in this invasion. (Due to corruption, lack of leadership, and international weakness.)
Whoever in the US administration began leaking Russian invasion plans was trying to stop this...but it was too late. These things have a certain momentum or inertia. Putin thought he had the measure of Biden.
So...does President Biden have a share of the blame in "allowing" (<- via the signaling I mentioned above) Russia to think they could get away with this? Or, is it all Trump?
 
 
Again, I will stay away from any opinions on foreign domestic politics. I will say that I am heavily disappointed in the lack of support Germany is providing. Is that due to Scholtz? I have no idea...it could be far more complex and nuanced than "that guy is a Stasi wannabe" or whatever the complaints are against him.
Ditto Switzerland blocking ammo supplies. Is it one of cantons that is doing that? Shrug. All I know is that Switzerland thinks it is safe behind the mountains and that any future armament purchasers better think about how they will source their ammo and other logistics.
Should Macron be praised for the Ceasars? I don't know, but FRANCE is sending some good equipment.
If you look at my posts, I am very careful to point to the COUNTRY involved, not any individual. (Zelensky excepted, because, damn, talk about the right man at the right time.)  I have tried to do the same with the US.

Shutting down sources of US oil production helped worsen the supply imbalance of oil products...and raised the prices. 
Massive printing of money has led to inflationary pressures resulting in raised prices.
I'll ignore the statement about climate change and budgets. (But, if you'd like, you can venmo me some money and I'll apply it to carbon offsets in your name.)
Fiat currencies, politicians fueling the financial crisis, kicking the can down the road to future generations, deficit spending, short-sighted government policies...that is what is causing the current inflationary spiral.
But I'm not sure what that has to do with Ukraine kicking Russia's ass?

Simply put.  You're wrong.  These acts of murder, rape and torture aren't acts of individual soldiers and given the abundance of them happening you can bet that the upper ranks are encouraging it.  Terror as a weapon of war.   As more and more areas get liberated we will see even more examples of it.  This is the Russian army doing what they were told to do from top to bottom.  (In case you thought the mobile crematoriums were there for their troops)  The problem with the Russian policy is they have begun to retreat before they could clean up their war crimes and now the world is seeing the truth of what Russian liberation means.  So are a group of observers on a game forum dehumanizing them by calling the orcs etc...sure.   You don't have to like it but it's not trolling and if it offends you this much.  Don't read about the comments.  Remember none of these things would be happening if the Russian Army didn't invade.  SO yea...Russians are evil.  They are killing civilians to sow terror among the populace.  Maybe we should call each russian soldier what he is...a murder and a rapist.  Make you feel better?

Can't we just leave the angry comments by Ukrainians about the war crimes for what they are? Personally I can perfectly understand their fury and I don't feel the urge to condemn their justified anger and sometimes unjustified hate. Calling them trolls is rather silly.

And personally, I don't agree with either of your positions. The people of Russia, I think the gray masses in Russia should suffer under sanctions for allowing a criminal regime to exist. They should be despised and ostracized from civilization until they change, but they should not be condemned to torture and death. The RA should be brutally killed to the last man for their heinous inhumane barbarous conduct to the Ukrainian civilians. They are friggin savages and should be treated like such. There is no difference between them and ISIS at this point. Their torture, rape and murder can't be condoned and every member of every unit is responsible for the conduct of that unit and especially it's officers and NCO's, but that does not alleviate private Ivan for following orders, doing it on his own or standing aside and allowing it to happen. You play, you pay.
But I'm an idealist and believe in right and wrong, good and evil. A hate filled heart is not a bad thing when it is aimed at evil. If this was happening on my soil, to my people, to my family, Kraze would have to push me out of the way to take his turn on the kill, maim, mutilate merry go round on those bastards.
