My suggestion to you is read: Soldiers of destruction. Charles Sydnor found a lot of evidence that proves the SS wasnt just a military formation. It will answer a lot of your questions.....many of your views are simply wrong. The SS is indeed a criminal organisation,set up mainly by Theodor Eicke. His thoughts were the basic grounds for the SS doctrine. Hatred,racism,humiliation,crimes against humanity,torturing,killing and so on. Also the view you have about differences between waffen ss and the camps is a false one. The camps were the basic from where the SS(wafFen SS) emerged,most divisions had strong bands with the camps,their own little factories and their logistical supply lines for cloth,and other stuff(mostly stolen). Personell was exchanged between the front and guarding duties in the camps,as were troops drawn into the einsatzgruppen. But enough said now I think.

Yep thats the thing I meant,but I couldnt find the right word for it I always keep a few spare ones,in the dark you loose them fast after firing with blancs Problem when you have to reload again,when you loose the damn thing

I can say that Cassh is absolute right. Fal is a brilliant wepaon for reliability and maintainance. Same goes for the MAG mg,I have replaced my trusty old MAG for a minimi too. Indeed the minimi is lighter but you carry more ammo for it. For the mag I was issued two boxes ammo while my loader/aid had 4 boxes. Nowadays I have to carry 4 magazines myself The Minimi has a standard carrying belt which makes it very easy to carry along,better than the standard Mag belt. I have no problems with carrying the weapon,allthough the Elconsight makes it a bit heavier. One thing I dont like about the minimi is that the ammo has to be fit in the weapon with a little plastic device. This thing will shoot away after you fire a round,fun in the dark if you loose the stupid thing,therefor I connected one on my weapon with a little rope. The plastic 200 round magazine is indeed clumsy and makes a lot of noise,specially if you fire a few rounds(and mainly in the dark)I always take out the belted ammo and use the smaller 100 round bag. Problem with maintanance are the small pieces of copper the bullits shells leave behind in the chamber,you have to watch your fingers for splinters. And last but not least,the calibre. I liked the heavy round for the mAG,it could stop a car if you wanted it too,the minimi(specially the rounds the dutch army has for it)cannot damage ca cars enginer enough to do that. Overall the minimi is a fine weapon,reliable,shooting well and light enough. But it takes care,you have to threath her gently and loving like your girlfriend/wife and it will be good for you too

I have played 13 turns,so far my advance goes well. Lost a few halftracks but there are numerous smokeclouds from burning T34's allready keep you informed:)

There is an unexploded mine left in Belgium dating back from ww 1. I cant recall which area though. There were two but the other one exploded somewhere in the 70's,I thought by static electricity or a thunderstorm, and left a very big hole in the ground. The entire area around it is sealed off,an absolute forbidden area.

Fine, Thats true,we had that one too Forgot about it The school is only a few weeks a year,but fun. Next turn is (I hope ) in june.

There is one made by me for cmbo/cmak,named may 1940. But its british against germans,no french units. So dont get confused

A few years ago somebody made a program to do this,however,a 1 minute turn for cmbo had the size of 700 MB. It wasnt a fluid moving film too,but it were lots of images played with a few seconds interval after eachother. I cant recall his name nor the name of the program,you should do a search through the forums history to find it.

Look at my Clervaux map for CMAK(clervaux deathtrapp for the 110th regiment),its a conversion from mc auliffes old cmbo map. But with some adjustments after I visited the area(battlefield tour)and took a lot of pics.

Stoat, I suggest you read Charles Sydnor's Soldiers of Destruction. He has given a lot of links to other books and official documents,some of which I have read personally. Attrocities were committed by most SS soldiers. A lot of these crimes are well documented. There was a (recorded/documented)exchange of personel from the armed units to the einsatzgruppen and the camps and vice versa. henk

Yes the war is still on,we Emerald warriors are recovering now from the low and dishonorable attacks from the Salmons. As we speak our forces are driving them back,our victorious generals have trouble to advance faster than the pinks retreat We will winn this war!! Hail to our glorious leader!!! Btw we need you to do service in the Emerald army too.
