  1. I have made an operation about it.(3 battles) Its also available at the depot, named Warschau uprising. Its dated in 1944 but as someone mentioned I mistakenly mixed up the warschau city uprising and the 43 getto uprising in the briefing.
  2. LOL, Here in holland a copy of CDV's Combat Mission 2 in store costs 13 euros...... I have a German language copy available if any one wants it.
  3. cant make it but...... I am going to the German army museum near Munster(forgot the name )with Cyberfox. so maybe I see one of you guys overthere Henk
  4. with a little luck,I hope to be there too that day.
  5. yes, check this site, www.grebbeberg.nl It has maps, stories, info and AAR´s of the battle fought in that region in 1940.
  6. ohoh,a joke is OK. But its starting to become a political debate, which isnt good.........
  7. adding Balkenende would have rendered the german troops efforts useless. they would have died from laughing........
  8. LOL. Dont know her either Yes,I'd like to have the final battle. What do you think of the names?
  9. Well,It would have been highly coincidental if that would have been the case
  10. Hans, Speaking about that dutch girlfriend... That would not happen to be Edith van Noordwijk? Henk
  11. Actually I had a debate with jaws about this a few weeks ago, this happened when my Tiger fired at an allready immobilized target standing on a small hill. Range to the target was about 500 meters(!) I ran the turn 3 times with the same odd results every turn. My opinion is that(BFC)they used the same model for tank guns as they used for mortars, after all you see the same pattern with them.
  12. Hans, Just send you a reply Simovitch: Thanks for your comments,I could not change much regarding the ammoloads. It should have been better to make an operation of this battle. SO if you know a way to reuse the map in an operation,I am all ears. Henk
  13. Sorry its so big, That happens when you get a hand on historical OOB's A battallion here,a bataalion there and befor you know it you have an entire regiment on the map Henk
  14. haha , wie was het slachtoffer Jurrie? mijnhout?? Henk
  15. Well the Germans broke through near Rhenen which was defended by a company of troops. We could take that part of the battle.
  16. yes there are the maps are in the BIBLIOTHEEK section. they cover the entire defensive line, for both days of the german attack on the line. Send me the links to the maps you are interested in and I will do a translation for you. looking forward to the scenario
  17. errr, you know what I meant with that. I meant he had a grandfather who also served in a german division. very childish to react on a spelling error like that.
  18. Hans can you send me the battle? Maybe I can give you some advice on what to change.... Always good if someone else takes a look first Henk btw I found a webpage which explains the military symbols unfortunately its in dutch only. http://www.grebbeberg.nl
  19. yes thats the one. trommelfeuer ,where in germany do you live? maybe I can get over than one time. I would like to meat you to hear the stories of your grandpa. I have a colleague in the army who also had a grandfather, but he served with the 16th division. Henk
  20. Trommelfeuer: Thanks! very interesting to hear this from a veteran. most of what your grandpa said is mentioned by sydnor especially about the raids. the story behind the guns was that Eicke scared the wehrmacht by saying he would steal the guns from a SKODA factory in Pilsen, just as he did with other equipment. Later in march 1940 he indeed got the guns from the army. I also checked for the mg's,the guns used by SSTK than were indeed the Tsjech weapons and the old WW1 type heavy machineguns you really should get the book. Here is the ISBN number 0-69I-00853-I Title is:soldiers of destruction.
  21. trommelfeuer: Sydnor speaks in his book about a battery of 150 mm guns stolen by Eicke from a depot of the wehrmacht, what can your grandfather say about that? Sydnor did not mentione the panzer 38 in his OOB. Henk
  22. Hi commander, This review actually is the same as what I described So in this respect Sydnor did his homework well enough. Trommelfeuer: Are you aware of the book soldiers of destruction? If so did your grandpa read it? I would love to hear more from him about other battles! Henk
  23. Hi Commander posted my review and send some comments and suggestions to Mad russian. Henk
Henk Stoffers
  25. Hi Hans, You were right about the machinegun. 49th pel LU Mitr, means 49th platoon luchtafweer(airdefense) mitrailleur(machinegun)probably a lewis on a tripod. The other Bt LU.A means batterij luchtafweer artillery or simply light AAA in English. I am not sure what the abbreviations in the other one mean exactly butI think its Heavy AAA like cannons. I have lookead at your map,the circles with the arrows are defensive positions with the arrow pointing to the firesector.
