  1. People have complained that the digital version that's for sale now is basically unreadable. And, like I mentioned, since it's only available in a digital copy I'd have to get it printed and bound at Kinkos or somewhere. If this guide is my only option, I'll probably just get it and go through the trouble (assuming it's readable). I just thought there might be another guide that was available in non-digital format.
  2. The information may be available here on the forum, but it takes way too much digging. I'm looking for something that is indexed and enables me to have all the info at my fingertips. Not to mention, I can't read the forums when I'm sitting on the can.
  3. I'm pretty much a newbie to Combat Mission and would like to get my hands on a really good strategy guide. I'm hoping for something that takes game specifics into account, so a normal army combat doctrine book would not be my first choice. I would have just bought the official CMBB strategy guide (was there a CMBO one as well?) but have read some not-so-good things about the quality of the Direct-2-Drive version. Not to mention I'd have to go through the hassle of getting it printed and bound. Are there any other strategy guides that are specific to the CM games?
  4. The only reason I knew the answer is because I started my first PBEM game this week and wondered the same thing. I found the answer in the CMBO FAQ, if I recall.
  5. The sequence is designed to prevent cheating. You can't watch a replay and perform command functions right afterwards. The game separates these functions so that one player can't watch a replay, see that his plan didn't work out, then replan again, trying something different.
  6. That really bums me out. I had read developer interviews from pre-CMBO that said they were planning to support this. Not having it definitely makes watching a whole battle much less enjoyable because of the constant loading of turns.
  7. I'm sure this is not a new question, but I've looked everywhere without finding an answer. I've read the manual, I've read the FAQ, I've searched the forums, I've Googled my heart out, yet I still can't find an answer. Is there any way to watch a replay of an entire battle instead of just one turn at a time? I'd really like to do this, both for AI games and for PBEM games after I finish them. Another unrelated question, but is there any way to play AI versus AI? I'd really like to be able to sit back and observe the AI without any interference, seeing how adaptable it is in certain situations.
