  1. Steve good to hear from you on the board again. It’s been a long time. Maybe you should use a good grass mod for around your house. One that you won’t have to mow so often. Maybe you should do what rune is doing and have a mow the lawn, fix the doors, expand the office, CMBB sneak peak party. I’ll bring the lobstah’s
  2. LoL It’s not like you didn’t try. No taxation without representation! Down the British! [ July 04, 2002, 03:52 PM: Message edited by: Ted ]
  3. I’m only a few turns away from finishing two. Two of my opponents are on vacation. One was gone for a week but will be back next Monday and the other on the 17th of July. Head for the Hills is about 1/3 of the way along. That’s a long one though. Happy Independence Day to the USA. Up the Rebels!
  4. “RoW II Boots and Tracks Brawl part tres....” That THumpre, he’s so continental... Yes, all games have started and are anywhere from 1/3 to 1/2 way finished. Of course that’s only in turns. Some are a lot closer to being over (for me) than the turns dictate “Fate” has taken a leave of absence until the middle of July.(17th I think). He’s crewing on a sailboat in a race out of Marseille. Go figure he’d stop playing CM for that flimsy reason.
  5. T1 - S1 is all green on go except Jarmo but I see in another thread he has just arrived home. [ June 12, 2002, 05:48 PM: Message edited by: Ted ]
  6. I haven’t heard from Jarmo or Fate. They have yet to send me the 1st turn.
  7. Whadda ya mean “like” school girls, they “were” school girls, my secret to ultimate victory. Wow, in the multitude of CM scenarios I’ve played never, repeat never, have I played in mountainous terrain like this before. So many lines of sight from every camera angle. I tried to setup but like Mr. Kettler my brain overloaded. I’ll send out the 1st turn tonight though now that I’ve had all day to think about just what the heck I’m going to do. [ June 07, 2002, 01:56 PM: Message edited by: Ted ]
  8. Not advancing in company order! Kick him out! In the Nordic Wannabe we had the same rules and I don’t believe there was one complaint.
  9. I like how you can see the face through the screen on top of the turret of the AC. What is the symbol on the right rear hatch (?) ?
  10. That was my 1st game somewhere in the mid 1960’s I believe. A thousand more games and thousands of more dollars and here I am.
  11. When the Demo came out we played the first two scenarios so many times and discussed it so much on the forum Steve and Charles stopped what they were doing and created a third scenario (Valley of Tears?). I forget what the 1st two scenario’s were, I think it was Reisburg and Chance Encounter but I remember a lot of discussion about how we played the Allies, then the Axis, then from the left side, up the right side, then both sides, sneaking up and quick charges, FoW and no FoW, on and on. I remember Steve coming on the forum and saying that neither he or Charles had anticipated that we would play those two scenarios to death and that he would give us a 3rd scenario. The board went delirious with happiness and gratitude. Ah, those were some heady days. I think maybe that’s why the Demo for CMBB will come out close to the release date. So they won’t have everyone clamoring for a new scenario to play while they wait. [ June 03, 2002, 01:47 PM: Message edited by: Ted ]
  12. When I attack the AI I like to give it at least a +1 advantage. His troops seem to sit tight longer holding their positions instead of jumping from their hidden locations and attacking me to soon.
  13. I use the Excel version. I've printed out all the armor unit information with the picture of each unit. I also found the Infantry data sheet that compares the different firepower's over various ranges. Good job, very informative.
  14. Peter Zima's Axis hordes have just surrendered to me. Ian's Brit's and I have just one minute left to finish our game.
  15. Congratulations Stuka. Looks like it will be a Merry Christmas in your house or should I say on your battlefield. How goes the second game? I'm playing Pike and Peter. Pike and I are down to the last minute, the last man and the last bullet. We've scrounged the dead for their ammo and sent the cooks and clerks to the front. There's only two flags at a cross roads, I hold the big one he holds the small but with fog of war anything could happen in the end. Peter and I are on about turn 20 (60th email). According to my information I just took the fourth and final flag. He's attempting a counter attack with a few remaining squads but with no vehicle support I don't believe he'll be able to sustain it. MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL!
  16. Count me in. tramos1@optonline.com
  17. Whoa, I don't remember seeing that graphic before. Where can I find that one and are there any others?
  18. I was crushed to find out they weren’t real Tigers. Like it was said before at least they made an effort and did give me the feel of how formidable the Tiger is. There was a thread on this awhile back, maybe last spring, where this was discussed in detail. I remember one of the points about the Tigers in Kelly's Hero's was the turret was way to far forward. The thread goes on to discuss the drive sprockets and a lot of good grognard stuff. [This message has been edited by Ted (edited 12-12-2000).]
  19. I just clicked on the link and it worked for me, brought me right to it. Try typing it in manually
  20. Great idea and count me in. I've changed mods so many time I have no idea what I have anymore.
  21. I just wanted to start a new subject title that's easier for the eye to catch. Sneak, How's life in the midlands. Cold enough out there for ya? I just switched over to the much lauded Cablevision DSL service. Well, I went to enroll for email and the server's down for new enrollments, has been for almost a week and they say it probably won't be fixed until the end of this week (if you can believe anything they say) . I've taken the week off so I have no way of emailing anybody. Someday, when the server is fixed I'll send you the setup. Peter Zima and I are on about our 20th email. He's the German's. It's dawn and snowing like crazy. Movement off road is very precarious and prone to bog so the fight is centering around a cross road in the middle of the map. It's not where the large flag is but once I'm secure here I can turn to my left and hopefully roll up his line. I feel I'm getting the upper hand having knocked out 3 of his assault guns and still have all my armor. He took to knocking down houses I was in, and blacked the eye of the infantry inside I might add, but as soon as one fell it gave me a clear line of sight to his tank and I took them out with one or two shots. His main line of resistance was in a line of houses just past the crossroads but now it's my turn to start knocking down doors. This caused his left to either route or move in retreat (I wish I knew which). With that I'm moving forward on my right turning his left. I have to sweep for schrecks on that flank before I can move forward with my armor. It's not over yet and I'm sure he has a surprise or two left up his sleeve. He has 1500 pts of stuff and I haven't seen it all yet. Pvt. Pike and I are on about our 17th email. It's pretty much the same deal only the crossroads in the middle of the map is where the major flag is. The lead is flying thick and heavy. There's no way this is going to last 30 turns. Men are dropping left and right. We're only about 60 meters from each other. He's from England so as I guessed he's playing with the British. He brought up a Firefly (?) and I took that out. So far that's the only armor I've seen. I'm waiting for the Cromwells and Churchill's to show up next. I'm wondering to if he has any of those flame shootin' Croc's about. I've never seen one but I bet they burn nicely. So far, dare I say it, things are going well for me and I think I'm doing Group E proud. Oh and Peter is from Australia and Pike is from England so I think we should have called this the Not-So-Olympics.
  22. I opened it with Excel and it works great. Being able to sort alphabetically by size, author, month or what ever is fantastic. Great job Craig. The only problem is now I have to go out and find the scenarios I don't have. Be sure to keep me on the list when you finish the new Rev at the end of the month OK.
