Your getting famous sir. Great. I'm looking forward to adding your latest work to my game files. Thanks Again! ------------------ "Then we shall fight in the shade." (Greek general's comment upon being told that the Persian archers could blot-out the sun with their arrows.)

quote:
Originally posted by PzKpfw 1: Bast has a good point, once Stug armament was switched to the the 7.5 cm KwK.40, L/43 & L/48 the Stug's role as an Inf Supt weapon was curtailed, with it's main role switching to an AT platform. Stug's despite their lack of an turret were very effective vs tank's especilay on the Eastren Front, where Stug units alone, were credited with the destruction of over 20,000 Soviet AFV's. Regards, John Waters

One reason for this impressive kill rate was the fact that more Stugs were manufactured than all the other German tank models of the war. Any true historical realist should almost always have a Stug or two in their games. ------------------ "Then we shall fight in the shade." OT: New patch for Panzer Elite finally out

quote:
Originally posted by CrazyCurt: Some cats at the following site are doing all sortsa goo for PE ... check out the Panzer Elite Development Group at http://www.pedg.de/

Thanks CrazyCurt. I've been there and I am enjoying some of their mods now. Some other folks have also done MODS for PE. I guess what I should have said was I wish there were as many after-market efforts as there are for CMBO. I have never seen an after-market community grow as quickly as CMBO's. And... I think it's thanks to Charles and Steve and the way they feel about treating their clients that has made this possible. ------------------ "Then we shall fight in the shade." OT: New patch for Panzer Elite finally out
Turret Ring replied to a topic in Combat Mission Archive #2 (2000)
Applied the patch.....,Cranked it up again and took my MAUS out for a stroll in the Italian country side to feed on a bunch of shermans. It was a blast. That game is a good tank sim. Too bad they couldn't spawn an after-market support community like CMBO. I'd like to see all the tanks of WWII modeled in the Panzer Elite engine. ------------------ "Then we shall fight in the shade." "Merry Christmas One and All" But the Dark Humor in the Peace On Earth spirit of Christmas does seem to be a bit heavy. Although, I remember when Peter Sellers used the same joke in Dr.Strangelove. (The recall code of Gen. Jack Ripper.) ------------------ "Then we shall fight in the shade." Yeah. Same thing happened to me last night with some Priests and Tigers. More realistic, or a bug????? ------------------ "Then we shall fight in the shade." (Greek general's comment upon being told that the Persian archers could blot-out the sun with their arrows.) -

quote:
Originally posted by Forever Babra: Tiger... 2) but... Again with the grey? c'mon... I KNOW you know that desert yellow was the base colour of German AFVs after 1943.

How many Marders were still around after 1943? And also..... Why would you want to be critical of someone who is providing a great deal of after market support for the community? The vast majority of the MOD's in my BMP files come from Tiger and the game is much, much better because of them. Tiger, I hope you won't let guys like this get you down. ------------------ "Then we shall fight in the shade."
