I am playing my first QB which happens to be a ME. I have played TONS of CMBB scenarios...this is just my first QB. It is exactly as you describe with the added pain of me having green and conscript troops only. Talk about not being able to move. These guys hear shots and they panic. It has just been a standoff for the last 6 turns.

Dear Seanachai, While I cannot confirm that Ms. Hiram is real (having never met the lass) I can confirm that I have been told about Ms. Hiram. The thing that most scares me about her most recent comments are that she has stated that he has taught her much about CM. Since it is a known fact that he knows nothing about CM it is probably fair to say the neither does she. And if they are playing a PBEM game, now that she has it,it is fair to say that she will forget the game even exists by the time they reach turn 2 due to his sloth like return rate of files. BUT...in the true tradtion of the MBT I am throwing out a challange to Ms. Hiram. Once I have shown her how the game is played she will feel The Shame. And as we all know shame builds charactor (which I am sure she has plenty of, but everyone except me could always use a little more). Hope all is well with you. Things are just great here. I have been dying to play it since Berli told me about it when the game was released. Recently Peng sent me a set up for it and it was nasty. I have no problem with managing such a large number of units but my computer does. I don't have state of the art (P4 1.7mhz, 384MB RAM and 64MB graphic card) but I have a decent system. It choked it to the point where I couldn't even set it up. I would try a group placement and after plotting the position it would take (no lie) 2 minutes to move to where I placed the platoon. I belive the scenario would have been more playable if there was less at initial setup and reinforcements entered every turn. I told Berli that my 1 1/2 year old son will be able to play it with his grandson. If I remember correctly he told me that what is in the battle is about 1/3 of what the historical OOB was...WOW. I am dying to play it so any suggestions on how to make even the set up easier would be very welcome.

Don't listen to the hacks that tell you to number turn files. It is a waste of time and only clutters your PBEM folder. I have NEVER had a corrupted file and I have been playing nonstop PBEMs since the beta demo of CM:BO.

I just tried setting up "To the Volga". I do not have the hottest system in town but I do have a 1.7GHz P4, 384MB RAM, and a 64MB GeForce card which is decent stuff but not the top end.....that damn game would take me a month just to set up my units with the delay when trying to place unit and the jerky camera movements. Berli you are a sick and twisted man.
