Dear Wordsmiths (including Cabron), The meaning of cabron I was thinking of was the insult. As someone whose ex-wife was Puerto Rican I was exposed to many curses. It was my understanding that cabron was one of the worst.....at least in the Eastern USA part of the P.R. world. and I thought Mexico as well. The translation I always understood was an insult to someones manhood. A man who know his wife is cheating on him but doesn't do anything about it but allow it to continue. Love, Elvis

Dear Huddled Masses, Last year on Christmas day in Vermont, while visiting my in-laws, we received 2 feet of snow. When there was about 18" on the ground some of us thought it would be great fun to run around in the snow. I am over 40 and a smoker (not in films...I mean cigarettes so sit down bauhaus) which I think offsets being starving, in the cold for days on end and fighting for my life. I felt ready to drop long before I had run 10m. We walked for about an hour and that was fine but those first few minutes when we thought it was cute to run were very tiring. Yup, it was much more enjoyable to spark up a Camel and stroll through the woods. The Cabron69 issue? I LOVE him. He called Andreas stupid. He is, of course, correct. Good eye, Cabby. You have shown that you cannot get anything past those Canadians.....I don't even try. Love, Elvis

Dear Noba, As someone who has a bit of Combat Mission under his belt I feel qualified that generally speaking when one is what we call "defending" they tend to be positioned close to victory locations. A last turn attempt to dislodge the "defenders" by "attackers" that have hidden for the entire game is called a "gamey flag rush". A final score of 69-31 is what we Old Time CM players call "a pretty decent butt kicking". The fact that all your were able to get out of the battle was that and you had crack AND elite infantry says you need a little more practice, Mate. Dear Noba, I sorry to have made you the most recent victim of my tactical prowess. It does seem my claim that no one in this place can beat me is not just the hot air I had intended it to be. Berli and Germanboy still have chances because those operations are not completed (although I always seem to have a game going with Andreas and can't remember the last time he won). What Michaelk and Firefly are talking about is what I experience. Against a human opponant. I don't consider this a bug or big flaw or anything...merely an observation that I have had over the years and decided to post for a reason that I can no longer remember. I know it was because I was playing an email turn in which I moved none of my units at all and the enemy had moved nothing for a while. When I see that long turn crunch in a situation like that I usaully say "uh oh" and if I still don't any enemy in the following movie I still know they are out there in force if the file takes a while to crunch.

Something that goes back to CMBO..... You are facing what appears to be a small enemy force. That battle has been going on for a while. You don't issue many orders for your own troops. Click "Go".....file crunching takes a long time. Looks like someone got some help.

Dear Peasants, Game updates that nobody cares about: Berli-I don't envy him trying to cross the Alps in the strangest looking map I may have ever seen. A must play just to see what it looks like. He is getting picked off one man a time. Peng- Makes Hiram look like he turns files around quickly. Hiram - Makes Pend look bad. I can't even remember what our map looks like let alone remember how badly I am smokin this bandwagon jumper. Ms. Sedai - Gamily taking the unique tactic of not sending turns in an effort to win. Lost on her is the fact that you must complete a game to win a game. Nobo - At least this guy sends a turn every now and then. Has spent most of the game hiding. My guess is that he figures if doesn't lose much he can pull off a draw. Unlikely my friend. Andreas/Germanboy - Poor bastard. I have just sucked him into a trap from which he cannot escape. Sorry old friend...checkmate. (I just made all the stuff up about Andreas...We are pretty much looking like a draw in the first battle of an operation.) Love, Elvis
