I got to come back due to me cussing out Steve. He figured I was gonna come to his compound and make him give me forum access at gunpoint. Its very rare to get banned here. Like it or not theres lots of fanboi's here and there's lots of rageboi's who think they know more about designing games than BFC does. But in order to stay here and be a contributor, its all about style points. It's ok to be critical of the game, BFC actually encourages this. Some of the stuff you guys have criticized have went into these games. We like that trust me. What doesnt cut it style point wise is people who think they know more than what we do. 95% of the stuff you bitch about, the testers have already discovered when we were playing the not so fun versions of the software and pulling our teeth out daily. You guys get versions that are not only playable but fun. If you cant have fun with what we give you, may I suggest you to stop gaming. And the worst ones are the guys that get answers straight from Steve, Moon, Phil, or the tester staff, and argue why their methods must be better than what BFC can do because they are ordained by God to be insulting and negative of our hard work. I would be willing to bet almost 100% of them watch war movies but havent even been in the same hemisphere of a war zone. Believe me i have to bite my tongue a lot. I dont tend to call people dicks or *******s on this board but it doesnt mean I dont think it or even use the backspace key to delete it once in a while. So just keep in mind, you make a stupid post dont expect not to receive return fire. Well it is absolutely true. You are making an opinion based theory on why OFP sold and who sold it, which isnt true. Modders do not sell games, they improve to some extent, but I am pretty sure the game made the lion's share of it's money in the first 3 months of its release. People buy modules and expansion packs to get new stuff. Yes I loved OFP but they are in 2 different markets. Besides we have plenty of good modders of the plethora of vehicles we already put out.

This wont happen, especially since BFC went to modules. What would be the point if you guys could make the units yourselves? I am sure if you could make CMBN sell 20 million copies they would be more willing to listen. Splitting a billion dollars between the small staff would also make them more inclined to make this the last game.

I believe "fitness" of the troops also comes into play guys. If you have guys panicked, routed, troops without ammo, or cowering in the corner I believe the system takes this into account. In order to hold an objective the object is to be able to actually be able to repel attacks or have the advantage. Rule of thumb is to be firstest with the mostest.

You guys are seriously arguing who has better scientists? Thats like saying the Germans were better man for man in WWII. The lethality in CMSF takes some getting used to. Allied forces have a substantial technological advantage especially with "sighting" targets and bringing fire to the enemy. Just remember the "Blue" forces can use range to their advantage and the "Red" forces usually need to significantly reduce range to be effective. And always have spacing between units if possible in modern warfare as superiority of fire can be achieved at greater distances for both sides.
