  1. Yer a bad man Phil There is still stuff going on behind the scenes so don't go getting yourselves all fired up just yet!
  2. Errmm that Leopard was hit hard - killed one crew member - so guess they were keen to GTFO!
  3. If I recall it was an AT missile from a BMP 2 that had taken up a hull down position. It damaged the Leopards weapon sites etc hence why it appears to not see the T62 on it's 3 0'clock after it reverses back into that dip. Re the titles - I did think about leaving em for longer but they got in the way of the video footage. I was looking to keep the video fairly short so reckoned people could always pause it
  4. The six man panzergrenadier sections are very brittle I found. You do need to ensure they have fire support from their Marders, mortars etc. I've mainly been playing about with mech heavy units i.e. panzergrenadier - I found their MGs are very good at suppressing enemy units but watch out if FIBUA stuff... The German mountain troops are a differant beastie - larger sections very heavily armed.
  5. @Phil Aye Phil the sound effects are stornger in game I just made the main sound track a bit too loud. I'm still playing around with this new video editing software I have and the sound mixing is one thing I'm needing to do more work with.
  6. He! The video shots were taken in my first playthrough using an AI Plan had drawn up. I must admit I was a tad too cocky thinking my Leopards would take apart anything the Syrian's had. Still you guys will get a chance to fight this and I'm sure will do way better @Thomm - picky bugger I can hardly write and speak English never mind German!
  7. I've just uploaded a short (just over five minutes) unofficial CMSF NATO video. This short film uses video sequences taken from the NATO module. It shows a German mech kampfgruppe made up of Leopards and Marders engaging Syrian T62s and BMPs. The scenario is called 'Fields Of Fire' and is one of the scenarios included in the German campaign which comes with the module. You can see the video at the link below And before you ask - soon
  8. Bacause your tanks were facing 21st Century munitions rather than 20th Century?
  9. As an aside the chap who invented HESCO barriers died the other day in a freak accident. http://www.guardian.co.uk/uk/2010/sep/27/segway-owner-dies-scooter-accident
  10. He! I give 24hours after the NATO Module being released for one or more of these camo patterns being modded and uploaded by someone here
  11. I can live with your lack of caps Quality of your posts makes up for the small grammatical errors. My Finnish is pretty crap anyways!
  12. No side skirts on the Panzer IVs in early Feb - they would be what the Germans called 'PzIV Specials' and as the majority of the tank fleet at the time was Panzer IIIs then in comparison the Panzer IVs were classed as a 'heavy' tank although with the increasing use of Tigers also around this time that description of the Panzer IV long was becoming dated.
  13. Also stuff at my website below - www.blowtorchscenarios.com
  14. You cane create your own maps, scenarios etc in the editor (which is in-game). This also allows you to create plans for the strategic AI to follow e.g. how it attacks etc. As Rune says you cannot change the actual models although you can modify the skins - for both vehicles, soldiers and terrain.
  15. Oh. I thought you were the terrfied woman crouching in the corner...
  16. Smile and nod <slowly back up. Exit forum>
  17. http://www.flipkart.com/battlefront-games-combat-mission-down-book-1155159470 Check out the above link for 'the book'. You'll find several other make believe titles. It's a scam. Click on Books LLc - see what I mean?
  18. Guys This looks to be a scam - check the ISBN - it comes up as not valid.
  19. One of my mates is an ex Marine sniper. I sent him the link about that reported 1800m kill and he was surpsied by it. He then forwarded it to some of his sniper mates some of whom are still serving and they all reckoned given the kit the guy was using that the kill claim was dubious. As he said at the end of the day there are only two of you who know the shooter and the spotter. He was saying it is potentially easy to big claims up. You could also add the 'propaganda' factor. Snipers are one of the elements the Taliban particularly fear. FWIW he told me about one of his mates who missed a Taliban spotter by about 50cm - the guy was peeking over a wall spotting for some mortars, the shooter took the shot at around 1500m and just missed with the shot hitting the wall 50cm below where the Taliban guy was peeking over the wall . The Taliban guy popped his head back down and the mortars ceased!
  20. Fingers crossed Nvidia sort it - they bust something in the drivers a while back as this never used to be an issue.
  21. This is a NVIDIA drivers issue I'm afraid. FWIW latest drivers don't fix it. There is a thread about this issue over at the tech forum if you want to check out all the other poor souls with the same issue. Bugs the hell out of me so much I dislike playing night actions! Feel like I've got a strobe light going off in my face all the time.
  22. Hi Bit of a shameless plug for some of my own Kampfgroup Langkeit is a autumn based operation. 1943 Strachwitz at Dubno is a summer based one. 1941 Death on the Dnepr - Solowjewka. 1943. My intention with this one was to create an operation type scenario within a battle framework, as I have been a bit dissatisfied with the current CMBB operation model. So when playing this best to go into it thinking you are playing an operation. Ammunition, or lack of it, becomes an issue for both sides. As DAF said (cheers for the pat on the back) take care with the CMBB operation set-ups. I explain how this works in the scenarios and the set-up issues after each battle are more apparent when playing against the AI. If playing against another human then you can alleviate this issue to a certain extent by playing play where they lay rules. You can grab my stuff from the Scenario Depot or check it out (images etc of the scenarios plus detailed descriptions) at the blowtorch website below. Cheers fur noo George
  23. He! Nice one - enjoyed reading this AAR Glad you enjoyed it and you have enjoyed other scenarios I've done. Always good to hear the work is appreciated. I'm working on a couple of scenarios for the NATO module for sure
  24. Hi Dave Odd beaviour you've found there. I just Hammertime a few weeks past and never noticed this odd behaviour. I've just gone back in and checked the troop quality and it's pretty mixed (to represent a unit that has been in combat for a while and had some replacements, seen a lot and done a lot) but the fitness level is at fit. Weather is hot and dry so I would expect the guys to become exhausted if you push em hard on the ground but from what you describe that's not the case. In fact just standing about see's the poor wee things become all tired and emotional. Be keen to see the save file. I don't think you'll be able to upload it here due to the size of the file. Could you email me it please? It's georgemc at blowtorchscenarios dot com Many thanks
