  1. Hello George, Ok, now i know what to expect. @Sergei, don't be toooo cheeky , ill play the movie in the background when it rains in CMBN.
  2. I'm wondering about the in-game atmosphere. Think of he fact that the computer humans walk about nature, through woods or urban areas, do we here weather sounds/effects? Are there different weather types like rain, sunny and cloudy days? Also visual distortions on the horizons. Just a thought I had. I noticed from a picture that we have weather effect like rain, but how does it sound in the game?
  3. Hi George MC, Thank you for the links to those tutorials, i'll start with them. Try to get the most out of the CMSF game engine. Have some nice stories to simulate, just have to figure out how airforce units work. Wel akd, at first glance the tools that come with CMSF seem a bit limited. Special forces wil be nice, if it is possible to tweak settings and models. It is just a thought, so i must be imaginative then. Kind Regards...
  4. Oh, that is a pitty. I was so hoping there was a way to customize and mod it. Sheers
  5. Dear reader, this thread describes the installation of CMSF with Marines expansion on Windows Vista 64bit with DEP enabled and user account with limited privileges. Software Operating system Microsoft Windows Vista 64 bit + SP2 + all updates applied. Security settings Data Execution Protection enabled, computer has hardware support for this feature. Installation Following de default installation of CMSF and Marines expansion, maybe a few patches all should work. Wel, one thing has to be done to enable CMSF to run. Add these files to the DEP list: Licensing server service Path : C:\Windows\Runservice.exe CMSF main program executable Path : C:\Program Files (x86)\Battlefront\Combat Mission Shock Force\CM Shock Force.exe These are de default installation path's of both files, and may vary with your installation. Before CMSF can run, the Licensing server service must be running. Goto Control Panel -> System and Maintenance -> Administrative Tools and start Services (right mouse button click with Administrator privileges). Lookup LicCtrlService and start this service (highlight and press start button). If all goes wel, the the service is now running in the background. If not, restart your computer and try again. Now that the service is running, start CMSF (right mouse button click with Administrator privileges). Todo this do a right mouse button click on the Launch Combat Mission Shock Force icon on your desktop and choose run as administrator. If you have no icon the do a right mouse button click on the Launch Combat Mission Shock Force via the windows startmenu (Start) or open a explorer and navigate to the installation directory. First time launch of Combat Mission Shock Force requires you to activate, so a activation pop-up screen is displayed. Complete activation and the game wil start. Thats it, hope it works, enjoy.
  6. Hello people, Is there a SDK (Software Developer Kit) or something like this for Shockforce , to create mods for CMSF? If so where can i find the documentation and information about it? It not, maybe there are software interfaces, software specs, etc etc todo it myself. What i like todo is: Create new soldier types e.g. Rangers, Commando's, Special forces Tweak AI, alter it if possible Create new unit types like airplanes and vehicles New weapon types Create maps with mountains and vegitation of choice Thank you.
