  1. I believe they physically moved. I was reading a story about the advanced party scouting Rose Barracks in preparation for the move. I wish I was still in Hohenfels, it would be fun to fight these guys.
  2. The work arounds are nice but in the original All or Nothing you could go under the bridge and open establish a flanking position. Maybe we'll get bridges soon, water I can live without.
  3. "On June 1, 2006 at Fort Lewis, Wash., the 2nd Cavalry Regiment and the 1st Brigade of the 25th Infantry Division conducted a joint reflagging and casing ceremony. The 2nd CR was reflagged as the 4th Brigade, 2nd Infantry Division (Stryker). The 1st Brigade, 25th Infantry Division cased its brigade colors and was reflagged as the 2nd Stryker Cavalry Regiment. The Army restationed 2SCR to Rose Barracks, Vilseck, Germany — near the Regiment's Cold War home of Nuremberg — as of September 15, 2006. With a foundation of infantry-based tactics and the mobility of the Stryker vehicle, the Stryker brigade has become more of a hybrid unit, filling the gap between pure, light infantry and the mechanized, heavy infantry. On May 8th, 2007, the Department of Defense announced that the 2nd SCR will deploy to Iraq in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom in August 2007. They are scheduled for up to a 15 month tour." Got this from wiki but it is the same as the globalsecurity entry. I was in 2nd ACR in '94 Mike troop 3rd Squadron just before they moved to Polk. The Army has swapped so many units around that I don't know where anyone is anymore.
  4. If you notice though all the 1st Brigade links are dead. I got my information from Globalsecurity.org and would have linked it here but their site is acting weird. Right now I can't get anything but dead links for any units in 1st Brigade or 2nd ACR.
  5. Let us know how that runs. I built a 3x3 in 1.04 and got constant CTDs. The 2x2 I have now works like silk with 1.05. I am going to push the system with a massive European map.
  6. Speaking of ATGMs, is there any way to get the AI to actually take the Javelins off the tracks or trucks?
  7. One of the battle drills we used to practice was the push through breach. If the first vehicle hits a mine a trailing vehicle pushes it through the minefield. Don't know if anyone has acutally used it while being shot at though.
  8. Not sure if it is the same place but the red light district isn't bad. Nurnburg isn't bad either. I prefered the Ku'damm in Berlin to both of them.
  9. There goes my last reason to go back to Europe. Well I guess there is still Frankfurt.
  10. I haven't played a lot of scenarios with 1.05 because I have been working on my own. Just did a complete run through with a large (about 2x2km) European map. It used to not even run now it runs nice and smooth. Right now I am running it Blue on Blue with a Mech company plus half an armor company on each side. There are a few slowdowns but it is playable in RT and would be fine in WEGO. Now I did take away all the minor units and am running it at fastest graphics settings. I will bump things up to see what effect they have. Whatever 1.05 did to fix the tree induced lag seems to have worked.
  11. Ok, did a little more digging. Appearantly 1-25 has been redesignated 2nd Cavalry Regiment and is now the 4th Brigade of the 25th ID. Neither brigade's homepages are working right now so I don't really know who is where or what units have been redesignated.
  12. 2nd Brigade 25th ID is light at this time. Maybe by the time of the game they are an SBCT. 1st Brigade is the SBCT. They are stationed at Ft. Lewis. I was in 1-5 INF from 94-97. We were the light element for the Force XXI experiments and one of the first units to field the Javelin and a lot of the new toys the guys are using now in Iraq.
  13. You know I have never really looked to see if Syrian smoke actually works. I'll run a couple tests when I get home.
  14. No aquire command in editor. As it stands AI Americans can never use Javelins.
  15. 12. Obstacles. Wire, roadblocks, etc. 13. Bridges 14. Hidden trenches. 15. Foxholes 16. Hunt command 17. Germans
  16. I have rarely had them take out anyone. If they just sit and observe then they often don't fire at all. If you give them a target then everyone in the team opens up and gives away the position. That was 1.04 though so maybe they work better now. When they do fire they can be quite effective, causing casualties with every shot but I haven't been able to get them to work consistently.
  17. The grass mod request is more of a running joke.
