  1. Thanks guys. I guess I will have to put my artistic skills to use then and start working on my map for the scenario I'm working on Stand by for all my questions about making a map JohnO
  2. What is the gentleman's policy for using other peoples maps that they made for scenarios? Is it a no-no or players don't care? I see some maps I like and have ideas for scenarios using their maps. JohnO
  3. Yes, some of the beta guys are experiencing the same problem and working on it. I did experience the same problem. JohnO [ August 11, 2007, 06:48 AM: Message edited by: JohnO ]
  4. This is the plan and it could changed by the time I finish typing this, the plan is US Marines, then the British Module then who knows what is after that. JohnO
  5. I was getting a headache trying to recall every unit I was assigned too. So I will make it short and sweet. I served from 1972 to 1992 after twenty years in the US Marine Corps and the US Army, first four years of course was with the Marines. Both services was an Infantryman,or as the Marines say, grunt, both Light, Mech, and Air Assault in the Army. JohnO
  6. Awesome map Normal Dud!! When can we get the scenario along with the map. Hell the map looks so great you might wont to put a copyright on it JohnO

  13. Just throwing this out Turnoff stove when playing CM:SF I was so into my battle that I started my dinner (you know that Hamburger Helper meal) well anyway I started cooking the meal set timer for 10 minutes, went back to the computer un-pause the battle and dove back into the game, well the timer went off, totally ignored the timer and burnt my dinner  I turn off the stove pick up the phone called in a pizza order. The moral of this story is to not cook food while playing CM:SF JohnO
  14. Thanks JaguarUSF now to try to convince my opponent to let me start over now that I know that JohnO
  15. Well to get it started, we experience one minor hiccup and that may have to be on my end when I was trying to send the file through gmail and seem to lockup due to roadrunner. After resending the file again everything is running so far. Files don't seem to be to large. Also I give movement orders during the setup phase and when it was time for them to move they didn't until the second turn. But that was only on the Blue side, the Red side didn't have that problem during his setup and first turn. JohnO
  16. Running my own PBEM and was wondering if anybody is experiencing any problems with it? Please post on this thread any problems. I understand about the issue with the size of the files, I'm concerned with loading and running the PBEM. JohnO [ July 29, 2007, 11:50 AM: Message edited by: JohnO ]
  17. After playing for quite awhile now and playing a PBEM as we speak I noticed that there isn't anyway for me to give the units a formation like, line, wedge, column, and echelon for neither my vehicles nor my infantry. Is there a way now to do that and if there isn't a way can't it be added in the next patch for that capability? JohnO
  18. Never mine, it seems it was my head space and timing that was off. Now off to fight the battle JohnO
  19. I'm doing a NTC- Battle at John Wayne Pass with a friend and I'm doing something wrong. To load the saved game file I click on the Saved Game button, load the saved game file by selecting the file NTC- Battle.... click ok, ask for a password which I type in, click ok, and then a Save Email Game window opens up with the next turn file name. I didn't even get the save game file to open up to do my movement commands? It keeps going back to the Main screen. What am I doing wrong? JohnO
  20. I like it so far everything for me is running fine, however I did have a problem on how to mount units in a vehicle, found out the hard way and kept at it until I figured it out. Love the scenario Allahs Fist JohnO
  21. My specs: Pentium 4 3GHz 1GB RAM Geforce 7600 GT 256MB Windows XP Everything runs fine, however I was testing out the options and I had everything max and there was some jerking and lag in play, so I went back and reset everything from 1280x960 to 1024x768, kept the Vertical Synch Runization: On, 3D Model Quality from best to balanced, 3D Texture Quality from best to balanced and kept the Antialias/Multisample On And everything is working fine. Even ran one of those large battles with no problem. So I'm very happy so far with what I have. JohnO
  22. take a look at the link you will see below it the rest of the link which is this "MSF_Setup.exe" copy and past both parts to together then run it and it will work. JohnO
  23. check to make sure it is complete, you may see that is is cut off from the cmsf at the end of the email address that what it was for me. JohnO
