  9. Another FM that will be of use is the FM 3-20.151c1 MGS Plt But the only way anybody can get it is if they are in the military or DOD contractor. Its not releasable to the public yet. JohnO
  10. Moon and everybody else, as the person who started this thread about the AI. Let me get this straight, the Strat AI is only as good as the person who design a scenario while the TacAI is hardcoded in the game and can't be changed. With that in mine does it help that the person designing a scenario have some understanding on how the units fight? JohnO
  11. Where I work at it is easy for me to get copy's but for now FM 3-20.15 Tank Plt (Dated Feb 2007) is not releasable to the public yet. However the old FM 17-15 Tank Plt is JohnO
  12. After looking at the SimHQ AAR on a CM:SF battle. I would recommend at least looking at these FMs, FM 3-21.9 SBCT Inf Rifle Plt/Sqd FM 3-21.7 (FM7-7J) Mech Inf Plt/Sqd (Bradley) FM 3-20.15 Tank Plt Just my two cents JohnO
  13. Go here to see the AAR that was posted yesterday, there are some nice screenshots during the fight AAR CM:SF SimHQ JohnO [ July 24, 2007, 06:50 AM: Message edited by: JohnO ]
  14. I agree Joe. I preorder the standard CM:SF and will be checking it out myself. And I do trust BFC as well and I'm counting the days JohnO
  15. Just so that you read the topic at the link I provided, (which some haven't) which nowhere in this article states anything about an issue of not having a tutorial, Round Table Entry: Artificial Humanity JohnO
  16. Did a search and couldn't find anything on the AI. So the question is "How Smart or How Dumb" is the AI? Reading allot of reviews stating about the problems with the AI. I quote from the Flash of Steel web page which you can read at Flash of Steel "If the setup tells it to advance, it will until it meets fire. Then it stops, never to move until you decide to meet it. If it sees enemy armor, it will attack it with the nearest available unit, so good-bye infantry squad. It won’t seek cover from enemy artillery or make use of terrain in any sensible way. Every battle becomes a turkey shoot. " This is not my opinion. Just a way to ask the tester's what they saw when running the scenarios. JohnO
  17. Thanks guys. Ryujin, I'm well aware of what you posted, I did twenty years in the military. All of it in the Infantry Again thanks guys for answering the question. JohnO
  18. Thanks guys. Did any one see if any of the track vehicles on either side, threw a track when getting stuck or going over rocky terrain? JohnO
  19. Question, to the Beta testers. Did any vehicles both Blue or Red side ever get stuck/immobilized due to terrain or thrown a track during play? JohnO
  20. Question, while I wait for the 27 of July to get here I noticed from allot of the screen shots that I didn't see and soldier man the turret on the HMMWVs? Maybe they do, but from all the angles that was shown, I didn't see any soldier there. Also can the hatch for the driver be open? I see from the other screen shots of the Striker IFV and see soldiers in the back troop hatch. JohnO [ July 19, 2007, 01:36 PM: Message edited by: JohnO ]
