The Anti-Refresh Monkey Thread

Recommended Posts

Its only obvious the game will be ready when its ready.

However, if the good folks at BFC can just post the time of day (GMT) they plan to release the game. That way each day at H-hour we could check.

This would prevent refresh monkeys like me from visiting the site 36 times a day.

Even if it ends up getting completed 30 minutes after the planned release time, just hold out until H-hour the following day.

So, if they're 30 minutes behind we all have to wait an extra 23 hours and 30 minutes? That's gotta be the worst idea I've ever heard. I'd rather refresh every 5 minutes than wait an extra day!

Perhaps it's time to unleash my secret weapon:

There's some very fine blends out there. ;)

True: but the experience of a truly distinctive single-malt is incomparable. Blends are designed to appeal to the widest possible audience and, while very pleasant, seldom challenge the senses. On the other hand a single-malt such as Loch Ddu may be overpowering for some, but is perfection for others. I keep 20-30 different ones on hand and pick according to my current taste. But I agree, the waiting is causing my collection to diminish rapidly.

Wow, I thought I had a decent handful of single malts at 8 in my collection ... 20-30? I'll make sure to drop by in your neck of the woods so we can compare. I've got a lovely old Cragganmore, a great bottle of Glenfiddich 30, a 25 year old Highland Park (Orkneys), and a 91 Glenrothes (my dad gave me as a gift on my wedding day) I can bring for the tasting at my end. I know it's a bit common, but I'll never turn down a Glenlivet because it was my first a way way back.

I think it really depends on your preference.

I myself prefer Single Malts too, especially Islay Malts and Highlanders but I've drunk some very very fine blended malts. :)
