BeauCoupDinkyDau
Meh. More bumper-car tank matches. The more screenshots I see, the less interested I become. Definitely going to have to check out that demo before I decide.

Maybe they'll create a map just for you with nothing but wide open spaces where you just line up your clankies 2 clicks apart and have it out. You know, just like it always happened back in WWII. Moon
You should be able to easily because that mission might make it into the demo actually. There are a lot of open areas on that particular map, but the screens focus on the action in the little hamlet where the mission starts off. The AI pushed hard into that village which explains the short engagement ranges (and a few great ambush placements by the AI which I'll show soon). I'll also put up some shots with the new realistic engagement ranges that have been implemented on the blog in the next days. Martin

Gpig
My first bit of Mr. Picky-talk involves the vanishing tracks. I seem to see tanks (once hit) having their tracks vanish. Just the road wheels left. I realize this will be a quick visual aid to tell the player that "yup, that one is immoblized." But, I'd still like to see the tracks along the ground. Everything else has me VERY interested. Can't wait to take 'er out for a spin. Gpig EDIT: Ahh, just noticed Moon addressed this in another thread. Thanks Moon. BeauCoupDinkyDau
Hey, you're the one going on and on about bumper car tank matches, as if no two WWII tanks ever touched the same patch of ground.Uh, yeah. I’ve addressed this twice in a total of three posts (to no avail the first time—so a second attempt is not out of the question). If you think that’s going on and on, then you’ve got a distorted view of the world my friend.
benpark
If that's the demo mission, I'd be happy. It looks to have a good variety of terrain.

Melnibone
Interview is up. For the hardcore grognards, the message is slightly different. It goes like this: shut up and enjoy the game. Manx
The bit i like best: "we plan to add more editor features and support modding (map and scenario creation etc.) to the fullest extent after the release."
von Paulus
I'm bored to see screenshots and AAR almost without infantry ... tanks tanks tanks ... ... No urban battles as well ! Would be cool to see battles with (at least) 100 infantrymen. And then some tanks ... And it looks like it's not possible to capture enemy soldiers or to see one's guys surrender ! Col Deadmarsh
I can just see the hardcore grognards now... "After testing the beta, I noticed there's a rivet missing on the StuG III tank. Does somebody plan to address this issue?"
BeauCoupDinkyDau
It does not have to be historically perfect for me, just credible. Most of the screens and info look promising, but some cast serious doubts over if this game can be historically credible or not. Bumper-car tank battles are not credible.
