  1. Thanks, I didn't realize that there was a set up file inside the patch. I have successfully installed now . Had hoped for some follow-the-leader-command-though. :-)
  2. Can you quickly explain where and how to extract the the files?
  3. Because the lack of it starts showing its pain, I have to ask again, will there be any development of a follow-the-leader kind of command ? So many big maps and so many units involve a lot of repetitive plotting of way points now. I have only limited time on hand to play and rather would enjoy the action instead of wasting time on something computers were made to get rid off in the first place i.e. repetitve action. Thanks.
  4. French text in below link certifying no snow on the ground signed by some civilians and the priest of La Gleize. There is also the famous Life magazine picture of GI s walking by a smoldering KT that has been taken on 24th. Again no snow. Most vehicles were out of gas by 23rd. , although some barrels of fuel were recovered from a supply attempt over the river Ambleve - they were sent downstream floating. The KT 's were KO'd,because hydraulics and optics were damaged by several impacts. la gleize.tif
  5. The Scenario is probably as historical as the snow on the ground. Until 30th. of December there was no snow on the ground in the La Gleize area.
  6. According to Womble, it's on Charles list. We have just not ascertained in which position, somewhere between the decals and the fire, I guess.
  7. I will quote you on that, like in the ... next year! :-)
  8. Given the new map sizes available, may I suggest that BFC seriously consider giving a "follow the leader command". Plotting movements for bn size battle or operations takes you easily 30 minutes per turn, unless you are on the defensive side. Re-watching the action for each unit may take you another half an hour, but that I may consider the entertainment side of the game. Repetitive plotting however, becomes just tedious.
  9. Good that you mention. I went recently checking in shop for a desktop and the seller was like: "Why would you need that for?"
  10. Hi, I might be interested, I have CMBN + commonwealth + 2.12, but no MG. I have played intensively CMBO/CMAK by PBEM or TPC/IP, but no CMX2.
  11. Sorry, but in my opinion CMBN is the edition of missed opportunities. Granted that CMX1 was limited because of an engine developed in the nineties, it did pretty good job, compared to it's capacities. CMX2 pretended to be much more advanced, graphic- and simulation wise, but gameplay wise it was for me in many aspects a step back or status quo at least. Clearly developers have tried to appease the real time playing masses, but this hybrid version has many short comings when it comes to turn play. Not even talking about the strain it puts on your hardware. You are condemned to play company sized battles in back garden sized fields. Anything bigger becomes laborious, tedious and risky. I admit that CMBN is the only game, I will fire up from time to time, but really?...I cannot bother anymore to waste time on setting up a couple of platoons to find out after 10 minutes the system hangs. Frankly, contrary to all comments, I see no improvement over the patches, I expected better and feel disappointed. I hope they will get it together on the next engine though, because of course - despite all the short comings - the subject and formula has much potential.
  12. Hi Michael, Yes, I think this is what was proposed in earlier threads: 1. You designate a leader of selected group . 2. You plot way points of this leader. 3. All other elements of group will take shortest way to departure point of leader. 4. All other elements of group will follow then path of the leader either in convoy formation, in diamond formation or lined abreast. The movement order to be completed by a deployment order; column, diamond or line. I my opinion it should be almost similar programming as having troops embarking on a vehicle and dismount at destination.
  13. Glad this was brought up again, just to remind the BFC crew again this is a critical feature for when CMXbulge comes out. I stopped playing scenarios and buying any add ons just because of this. Maybe I was feeling like Don Quichotte all the time fighting the windmills, but I am glad to see others see it as well like this.
