sandy
Cornfleek - I agree - we need CMC more than ever now! I had expected to abandon CM1 when CMSF was released, the same way that I effectively abandoned CMBO when the improved CMBB and CMAK appeared. Sadly the reality is different, so far
Bergerbitz
And what cooler name can there be but "Cornfleek?" Except maybe "Rice Kreeespie"? ... How about now? ...crap....
Platoon Crusher
hehe Actually I am rather partial to Froot Loop
MeatEtr
if they release CMC this week.
Xipe66
Just release the code already and let the community work it. Or will someone figure our "how to win" then?
Ike
No, not yet, just over the next hill, right after lunch, before dark, it'll be released in Q3, 2006 ... yeah.
sandy
We need news, please, or... CMSF was not released when it was done, but before. So why not release CMC when it's not done - I would guess there are enough fans with coding experience /game design experience on the BF forums to get the job done as a public open-source project. (not including me I hasten to add - the last game I designed was for paper with hexes on it!)
vertigus
I'm waiting for CMC too. For loooong time. I'm posting, to give some sign, that there is a lot of people not registered, that are waiting for this game. But with less and less hope...
Pascal DI FOLCO
BFC answer every rant and his mother at CMSF forum, but here I think there hasn't been a reply in a couple months... To me CMC is dead - and that may be not that bad, as a game 2 years late can't be really good.
BeauCoupDinkyDau
True dat. The longer a game seems to slip into oblivion, the crappier it turns out to be when it resurfaces. I pray that Duke Nukem Forever never sees the light of day!
Philippe
I note that someone posted something in the CMC Beta Forum a week ago, so it can't be totally dead. I have no idea if the interminable wait is a good thing, a bad thing, or a terrible thing. But my sense is that it doesn't bode well.

Bergerbitz
Does it smell funny? If it does, it's most certainly dead. Or it needs washing. Is it released now? How about now? ...now? Back to lurking...

If they have a design which would allow the campaign engine to be used with different tactical engines (say CM:SF at least in addition to the CM1 games, plus other games via some sort of plugin system) then maybe CMC might still be viable. In my opinion if they don't have that then they've missed the boat, certainly commercially. Have fun Finn
Baron Ritzner Von Jung
Surprisingly I received an answer from Hunter saying that they were still working hard on it but had not time to post here ...
