  1. They may be off map and can only be used with an FO. Just a guess.
  2. Just mute her with the remote, or if that doesn't work click on the shutdown command... Hope it helps
  3. Thank you for the reply. I wonder how it was done in the battles and campaigns? Probably complex if the editor can't do it.
  4. I'm wondering if there is a way to edit a truck in the editor to be holding something other than bullets. I am editing a scenario and am trying to add ammo trucks to be carrying 105 ammo for the wespe on board....I suppose while I am asking I should also ask how to add ammo bearers as well. and edit thier loadout too. The editor isn't very intuitive regarding this. Thanks in advance, Mark
  5. hehe Actually I am rather partial to Froot Loop
  6. There are other games that use auto-pause features out there for example. They may not be your kind of game, but they have good features. They use a system that you can tailor the events that will make the game pause to your personal preference. Reasons like, "enemy comes into view" or "your unit hit by enemy fire" or "one of your units are idle and need an order" etc. You should be able to pick and choose wich events will trigger a pause also, so your game isn't always pausing for things "you" don't considder valid.
  7. I think the .50 cal mg's are remote controled. Are the mk19 also remote controled? Do you need to unbutton to use them?
  8. Nice screenshots. Is it me? Or do trees really hold thier foliage in Russia in Dec? Just wondering..... 8P
  9. I agree also, unfortunately. I have been playing other games that have been released recently. (UFO Extraterrestrials for 1)... I find myself not even coming by the forum here very often. Maybe 1 or 2 times a week for the last month or so. Been playing other recent releases lately as this 1 needs more work. I loved it at first. Still hoping to see improvement....sometime.
  10. I wonder how enthusiastic the crew would be to go into battle with 60 rounds of HE strapped to the turret? I always assumed the rockets would have been fired before hand and the calliope jettisoned before actual combat with the tank occurred. Otherwise it was basicly another form of mobile arty.
  11. LOL! Dude you kill me! Poor Hans.....
  12. LOL, good reply. Seems we have a sense of humor... Or are you finally losing it Moon?
  13. I agree with you Flintlock. I also enjoy wargames mostly. I have played many rts games and find that while I do enjoy them, it isn't because of a clickfest. I hate clickfests as well. I find them annoying and exhausting. I find that I try to play them in a methodical way. It isn't easy sometimes and I realise it wouldn't work with anything but an AI opponent. Soooo thats why I found TOW such a nice fit as I already strive to play slow and methodical with rts games already. The best plus is that it is a wargame too! So I find it fits my taste well.
  14. Maybe the problem is you are trying to put a guy with high marksmanship in a gunner position. The gunner needs a gunner rating, marksmanship is the trait for small arms like rifles or machine guns. Hope this helps.
  15. Maybe when the last round hit that tank the numbers bounced off from the impact?
  16. The UI is removeable with a hotkey, although I don't recall wich key it is. You hit it and the UI drops down out of view. (mostly out of view) Just try the "controls" window and the list of hotkeys is there.
  17. Bravo! Slapaho. That is awesome! I assume you got them from video. Very nice, some of the best screenies IMO.
  18. Thx again John! I really enjoyed the read. If you look close at some of the excellent photos you can see the vision slits at the rear of the hulls for the rear driver position. 6 forward and 6 reverse gears and a speed of 50 mph (top speed on road) in either direction. Engineering marvels for thier time I think. One of the links say they go at 19 mph cross country. I assume that is an average speed. Again Thx for the links I enjoyed them.
  19. Thx John, I didn't realise there were actually 2 drivers. I did know about the 2 driver positions though. Do you know if it was still used in the Puma? or the 234/4 (w 75mm pak)?
  20. You know Werner? I believe the T34 mockup we're talking about was also used in "Saving Private Ryan" as well.... Too bad they don't use a real one eh? That would be too awesome. I bet it would be a bigger star in the movie than the actors.
  21. Yes I have seen tanks seem to refuse a fire order several times in an allied mission where some Brits were to hold off a German attempt to break through to escape. They had lots of ammo and no damge when it happened and a clear LOS at abbout 25 to 30 meters range on the rear and flanks of Tiger I's A Cromwell refused the order and the Churchill did too. Both were very close to the bad guy and I have no idea why they just sat there.
  22. BANG! Damn! right betweent the eyes! Now that's a shot!
  23. I like the look as is. I am here to read the info in the pages and to exchange ideas regarding gaming and/or history. Sigs are just a distraction and like M Hofbauer says they eat up bandwidth for peeps with slower connections.
  24. I agree that the German 8 wheeled AC's were much more agile than most AC's of the time. They were the most advanced AC's in the world. You know 8 wheel drive doesn't just sound nice, it is nice! I think the main problem with most AC's is that they are set up like trucks with only 2 steeable wheels. The German ones had all wheels steerable to my knowledge. Front ones would turn if the driver was in the front seat and rear would steer if the driver was in the rear facing driver seat. They could go equally well in either direction.
