Agua
I just read a post by MikeD in the thread styled "A few questions", and he stated that the last beta build he received did not allow for winter mods. He stated that the CMBO #s were being utilized for other files. Sorry for starting a separate thread on this, but it seems justified. So, does CMBB allow for winter mods? Thanks in advance. Captain Wacky
How could it not? I can't imagine the guys would take such a step back
gunnergoz
Hmmm...perhaps a limitation in the beta? Hard to believe that they would limit modding anywhere but the hard-coded essentials. We'll know for sure in about a week or less.
Clinton
I'm going to say, out of pure speulation, that it was not included in the demo because there was no need for it due to the lack of winter maps. Why add extra bmps if you dont need them.
WWB
Yes, winter mods can be done. None are on the cd mainly because of space reasons as I understand things--there aint a spare MB to be had. Plus, we needed something to keep the modders busy for the next few months. WWB

MikeyD
I'll second that 'Whew!" Last I heard it hadn't been done yet, and it made me nervous. I wonder how we're to designate the 'winter' bmps this time around. My hat's off to CMBB.
Panzer Leader
OK, that little scare is over. Man, we've got to get this game, we're starting to SEE things!
MrSpkr
You guys actually thought there were no winter mods? I guess you never made it to a Sneak Preview! By the way, I have some beach property in Colorado for sale, cheap . . . Steve
KG_Jag
This is the Eastern Front for God sakes. The better question is are there non-winter (e.g. the short season: spring summer and fall) mods?
Chad Harrison
Of all places, the Eastern front had better have winter mods!!!! Much more so than the western front. They should make a doodad somehow for deep snow and deep mud. To where you tanks sink partially into the mud/snow. That sure would be true to life!! MikeyD
Still, I'd like to see this confirmed by a posting with the title "Administrator" under the name and not just "Member".

WWBI have a VERY good feeling, I think this guy knows what he is talking about. Michael Dorosh
cRAFTY - by eliminating winter skins, they dodge the "greatcoat" graphics question....
Adam T
Oh yeah, will units have long-coats in the winter, and in cold weather? It would require separate 3D-meshes for them, but it would add a lot to the east front feeling. And, IMHO there were more cold months in Russia than warm, so if the soldier had it, he spent the bigger part of the year in his long coat (specially in Army Group North). They even wear it more often, the they white winter-parkas. So, what-about a nice long coat bone?
MrNoobie
i doubt that they have a greatcoat graphic...but then again what do i know
KG_Jag
Guess we won't be seeing any more CMBO mods after CMBB is released. Our Modders will have a lot they can do and a new play ground to boot.
Måkjager
Just checked and there is a bmp number offset for the winter mods..so you can all rest easy now. Re: CMBO Mods dying out...dont count on THAT Regards Måkjager
