In other news, to all of you who owe me a turn (and your name is Legion... or Skippy as the case may be) I say Fie, on thee! Fie and fie, again!! And in even other news. Last Tuesday and Wednesday, the temp was in the high 60's to low 70's (to the ferrign contingent, that's mid hectares to inner sanctum), today there is an inch of snow on the ground with another to come. I hate you all.

Boo Radley
And then there's Emrys. But then there's always Emrys, isn't there? Pity. But we've come to expect you. Michael. A person whose unlimited potential turned out to be quite limited after all. Someone who, unable to spark any original creativity himself, hangs on the dubiously creative coattails of someone else. And an Australian, to boot. Which is not a bad idea. Hey, Noba! Is that a full tinny I see lying on the ground over there? Why not pick it up and see if it's still cold? BOOT!!! Much like yourself, Michael, sometimes it's just too damn simple. Joe Shaw
I'm sorry I haven't been here of late ... as I mentioned I was gone for two weeks, followed by gone for another week and I'm home, but with a local meeting most of next week. But in truth ... I'm just too depressed ... Jen filed for divorce ... Brad/Jen is no more ... it's hard to find humor in times like these. Luckily there's always Boo Radley ... his antics when he's trying to be Normal always bring a smile ... but still ... no more Brad/Jen. There IS, however, Silent Hunter III ... which is a fine, fine game ... I wonder if Brad/Jen would have played it? Joe
dalem
A musical, in honor of our long-absent-yet-now-returned Utaxian Justicar. JoeShawklahoma Scene I, Act I (The curtain rises on a scene of a vast wasteland of nothing - a flat, dusty, featureless plain that stretches from horizon to horizon, unbroken except for occasional piles of half-eaten Whitman Sampler chocolates and a dog-eared copy of "How To Win Friends and Influence People". This is clearly JoeShawklahoma.) (Enter Country Bumpkin dressed in ratty half-buttoned overalls, straw hat, and little else. He looks likes he was probably raised in Ohio.) (Country Bumpkin explores left nostril thoroughly, then points to horizon.) Country Bumpkin (Loudly): Look out, Ma! Looks like there's a bi-i-i-i-g storm a-comin'! That can happen here in (Country Bumpkin turns to audience and sings:) JoeSha-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-wklahoma, where the wind comes sweeping out Joe's mouth! Where the words are dull The fun is null And his posts cause everybody pa-a-a-a-a-a-a-ain! . . . That's all I really have so far.

This is clearly JoeShawklahoma.)Actually it's CLEARLY Midland, Texas ... I know this from personal experience, I only wish I'd thought to take a photo, I even had my camera. I was driving from Lubbock to Midland and right there on, I presume, the city limits of Midland, Texas was a LARGE SIGN. Opon the sign was a greeting using the names of the two most famous inhabitants of Midland, to wit (or some portion thereof): Welcome to Midland, Texas, Hometown of President George W. and Laura Bush Now politics aside, I can certainly understand why Midland would choose to brag about being the hometown of a President, not too many cities can claim that. HOWEVER, it might have made a greater impression and been more awe inspiring ... had there been ONE SINGLE HOUSE IN VIEW OF THE SIGN! Were it not for the oil pump half a mile away you'd swear that the residents of Midland had decided to return the town to it's glory days ... before PEOPLE SHOWED UP. Midland is a hole, watch the film "Friday Night Lights" and you'll see SOMETHING of what I mean ... but even then you won't understand the vast sprawl of NOTHINGNESS that is Midland. Did I mention that Brad/Jen are getting a divorce? Joe
