pritzl
Anyone heard anything on when we may see this release? Just curious.
109 Gustav
When it's done. To be honest, I'd be happy if BTS just left us with 1.1, and started in earnest on CM2. ------------------ Well my skiff's a twenty dollar boat, And I hope to God she stays afloat. Pacestick
When I sent a bug report to CrazyMathew about smoke use , he responded by saying that there would be no more tweaking of CM1. I took that to mean that they were concentrating on CM2
Schrullenhaft
As a guess (and I have no inside info on this) I'd say 1.12 would probably be ready within two weeks (since BTS would like to burn the next run of CDs with it). Assuming no other bugs have arisen, this should be the last patch for CMBO.

Is that for real? I agree the smoke issue is a minor niggle but BTS has already said there is a data error with the 76 HVAP and the Jumbo armour. I can't see those just being put aside without correction.
Sgt Eagle
Actually, if there is going to be a CM 1.12, I'd like to see these things: 1. The addition of US Rangers and UK Commandos. 2. The addition of Field Medics, which could "bring back" one or two members of a squad. 3. The addition of a backround tile that would be water, for a D-Day scenario. BTS, it would be a pleasure if these features were in the next update of CMBO. ------------------ "Nuts!" -Brigadier General Anthony McAuliffe

Pacestick
Just re-read the email and I had misread it. Matt said he did not "think" there would be any more changes, not that there would not be any as I posted, sorry if I have misled anyone
Mattias
So, is 1.12 supposed to be the "final" patch then? Hope BTS have the time to get the late PzJg IV (L48) frontal armour up to 80mm instead of the current 60mm this last chance M.

There are no new units or tiles being added to CM anymore.
Franko
PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE Allow American 57mm (and British, what the hell) to have special AP ammo (sabot, etc.). Frank
Guest Madmatt
Let me just clarify things. What I said to Pacestick was meant that no "other" changes were going to be done beyond what was already in v1.12 at that time. Sorry if that was unclear. Yes, there will be a V1.12 patch. No, I am not sure when it will be ready. As soon as I get clearance I will post what it fixes although most of it has already been mentioned before. Guest Madmatt
Here is the list for v1.12 improvements and fixes: * Tanks use better hull-rotation logic. * Gun accuracy is somewhat higher at long range. * Firing ordnance while moving is less accurate than before. * Quick Battles have a new "unrestricted" force type. * Pillboxes have slightly better 'reaction time' and are slightly less easier to spot at long range. It is also somewhat harder to hit their firing slits from longer ranges. * Smoke usage logic tweaked. * 20mm gun in Lynx cannot fire on aircraft. * If both sides have global morale below 25%, a battle will end immediately with an enforced cease-fire. * Fixed a bug (introduced in v1.1) where simultaneous cease-fire requests by both players in play by email could lead to a crash. * Fixed a bug so that the computer will never place antitank mines in woods. * Fixed a bug that made hotseat mutual cease-fires activate one turn later than they should. * Fixed a bug that could cause a game previously (partly) played as PBEM, but subsequently reloaded as TCP/IP to "lose" minefields and barbed wire. * Fixed a bug that made the TacAI hesitant to give targeting orders to the rearward-firing Archer. * Fixed a bug that allowed tungsten rounds to be overly effective against highly-sloped armor. * Data changes: - Sherman Jumbo speed, turret rotation, and some armor values lowered. GriffinCheng+
Matt, Sorry but if it is already in the queue. "Gun Damage Problem" revisited I tried "August Bank Holiday v.2" last week and several of my StuG IV suffered "Gun Hit, Gun Damage". Their status bars all showed "Gun Damaged". However: 1. Ammo counter still remained. IIRC, piror to 1.1, ammo counter was gone when an AFV's gun was dyfunctional. 2. Order menu still had all targeting commands: "Target", "Targe Next" and "Smoke". Of course, these commands had no effect. Thank you for your kind attention. Griffin. ------------------ "When you find your PBEM opportents too hard to beat, there is always the AI." Mattias
Franko... If anyone is to have special (t) ammo for their 57mm guns it is the British because they were the ones that produced it. And as far as I have seen they already have it in the game. Ah, well, the JgPz IV (L48) is a nice vehicle no matter if it has 60mm or 80mm frontal armour, it can wait until CM2 M. Warren Peace
Matt, Boy for a minor patch I am impressed with all the fixes and tweaks! Until I read the list I did not realize there were any problems with 1.1. You guys are really good. Warren

Echo
Wow! "Unrestricted force type in QB" is HUGE! I've heard everyone request it, but this is the first I've heard of it being implimented. Outstanding.
KiwiJoe
Sounds like my beloved Jumbo is about to be castrated Oh well if its historically correct so be it. At least it should be quite a bit cheaper now
karch
Outstanding!!! Looking forward to the patch. Long range gunfire and pillbox fixes sound great. scott
GriffinCheng+
Personally, I would like to see "75-rules" for QB in 1.13. But where is 1.11? IIRC the targeting commands were left in so you could still pick targets for the bow (or remote/AA'Flex mount) MG's. I will check with Charles to confirm this. Disregard the email I sent you earlier. GriffinCheng+
Slappy, that is funny. But the "Gun Damage" is not. GriffinCheng+
I am going to send ya a save file for this but I am afraid I have to go thru that scenario again (or any tank slug fest) for I have lost the save file.
