When it's done. To be honest, I'd be happy if BTS just left us with 1.1, and started in earnest on CM2.

But if somehow my skiff goes down, I'll freeze to death before I drown.

When I sent a bug report to CrazyMathew about smoke use , he responded by saying that there would be no more tweaking of CM1.

Is that for real? I agree the smoke issue is a minor niggle but BTS has already said there is a data error with the 76 HVAP and the Jumbo armour. I can't see those just being put aside without correction.

Actually, if there is going to be a CM 1.12, I'd like to see these things:

1. The addition of US Rangers and UK Commandos.

2. The addition of Field Medics, which could "bring back" one or two members of a squad.

3. The addition of a backround tile that would be water, for a D-Day scenario.

BTS, it would be a pleasure if these features were in the next update of CMBO.

Sorry mate. You won't be seeing any of that. This is a very minor patch coming up. There are no new units or tiles being added to CM anymore.

Let me just clarify things. What I said to Pacestick was meant that no "other" changes were going to be done beyond what was already in v1.12 at that time. Sorry if that was unclear.

Yes, there will be a V1.12 patch.

No, I am not sure when it will be ready.

As soon as I get clearance I will post what it fixes although most of it has already been mentioned before.

Here is the list for v1.12 improvements and fixes:

* Tanks use better hull-rotation logic.

* Gun accuracy is somewhat higher at long range.

* Firing ordnance while moving is less accurate than before.

* Quick Battles have a new "unrestricted" force type.

* Pillboxes have slightly better 'reaction time' and are slightly less

easier to spot at long range. It is also somewhat harder to hit their

firing slits from longer ranges.

* Smoke usage logic tweaked.

* 20mm gun in Lynx cannot fire on aircraft.

* If both sides have global morale below 25%, a battle will end

immediately with an enforced cease-fire.

* Fixed a bug (introduced in v1.1) where simultaneous cease-fire requests

by both players in play by email could lead to a crash.

* Fixed a bug so that the computer will never place antitank mines in

woods.

* Fixed a bug that made hotseat mutual cease-fires activate one turn

later than they should.

* Fixed a bug that could cause a game previously (partly) played as PBEM,

but subsequently reloaded as TCP/IP to "lose" minefields and barbed wire.

* Fixed a bug that made the TacAI hesitant to give targeting orders to

the rearward-firing Archer.

* Fixed a bug that allowed tungsten rounds to be overly effective against

highly-sloped armor.

* Data changes:

- Sherman Jumbo speed, turret rotation, and some armor values lowered.

Matt,

Sorry but if it is already in the queue.

"Gun Damage Problem" revisited

I tried "August Bank Holiday v.2" last week and several of my StuG IV suffered "Gun Hit, Gun Damage". Their status bars all showed "Gun Damaged". However:

1. Ammo counter still remained. IIRC, piror to 1.1, ammo counter was gone when an AFV's gun was dyfunctional.

2. Order menu still had all targeting commands: "Target", "Targe Next" and "Smoke". Of course, these commands had no effect.

Thank you for your kind attention.

Griffin.

Franko...

If anyone is to have special (t) ammo for their 57mm guns it is the British because they were the ones that produced it. And as far as I have seen they already have it in the game.

Ah, well, the JgPz IV (L48) is a nice vehicle no matter if it has 60mm or 80mm frontal armour, it can wait until CM2 smile.gif

Griffin, at first I wasnt sure what you were seeing but I figured it out.

IIRC the targeting commands were left in so you could still pick targets for the bow (or remote/AA'Flex mount) MG's.

I will check with Charles to confirm this.

Disregard the email I sent you earlier.

I am going to send ya a save file for this but I am afraid I have to go thru that scenario again (or any tank slug fest) for I have lost the save file.
