Speedy
**********NEWSFLASH********** The inaugeral Asskicker Tiebreaker is over. After 10 turns Snoopy had one ricochet'o'matic pz IV/70 remaining. I had one killer Hellcat left alive. Strewn across the battlefield were the twisted remains of 3 Hetzers ( all killed by the surviving Hellcat) and 1 Hellcat ( knocked out by one of the Hetzers). In the end victory went to myself. Snoopy has been a great opponent and I have had a lot of fun playing him, we are now about to start a friendly pbem were he can exact his revenge. As for you chairman prepare to be unseated!!! ------------------ Work is the curse of the drinking class. I have nothing else to say. Splinty
Well Def Bungis has beaten my valiant Hamstertruppen, despite the merciless pounding of heavy mortats and direct fire from my tanks, his troops held the VL for almost the whole game. I was never able to get my men close. Congradulations DB on a well fought battle! ------------------ Nicht Schiessen!!
Iron Duke
Gentlemen, Two more of the original Terrible 24 have joined the Second Round. One in a historic and inaugural TieBreaker match...Cap'n Speedy and his 2 Hellcats faced down a numerically superior force of 3 Hetzers and a Pnz IV/70. With skill, determination, and Lady Luck on his side, Cap'n Speedy was able to destroy 3 of the 4 German tanks and win the TieBreaker. Congratulations are in order. Secondly, we have the Honorable DEF BUNGIS who served along side me in Desert Storm. Fighting off mild doses of Cyclosarin, Nerve agent pills, Radiation, and a case of the clap his wife doesn't know about , Sergeant Bungis was able to hold the Victory Locations in his battle practically for the entire game. His Elite troops, having to fight at night, proved invaluable to his operation. Congratulations Sergeant, you move on to the Second Round. Please see updated bracket for details. joeski
Yeah that map is something else. Looks like I'm fighting in downtown Detroit. Minus the bums and rats of course. ------------------ "If you're in a war, instead of throwing a hand grenade at the enemy, throw one of those small pumpkins. Iron Duke
Guys, don't forget to include me in on how your battles are going, I really enjoy hearing about them. Hell, its one of the rewards I get for putting time into this thing. Keep me informed! Another cool thing I get out of this is during the purchases phase...sometimes I am amazed at some of your guys' purchases...whether I think they be good or bad, I learn. Once I have the purchases bought on all the maps, I like to look over them in the map editor and try and guess, based solely on the units, who will win. Sometimes it is obvious, most times it is too close to call. Anyhoo, have fun killing each other off! Out. ------------------ One shot...One Kill
joeski
Well Iron me and jack haven't moved yet just setup. I'll send when I get home from work. So by looking at our purchases who do you think will win? Yeah like your really gonna tell me. ------------------ "If you're in a war, instead of throwing a hand grenade at the enemy, throw one of those small pumpkins. Iron Duke
Joeski, that, my son, is between me and your mortician. j/k I don't want to give away any FOW but I can say that you and Hughes have the second largest map, though the most "crowded". ------------------ One shot...One Kill
Jeff Heidman
Well, me and Def got started on "The Pit" map. That one is a doozy. We actually ended up setting up next door to each other in one spot, and the result has been exciting, to say the least. Jeff
Iron Duke
Heidman, you like those setup zones do you? DEF BUNGIS
DEF vrs Jeff UPDATE. Turn 6. From turn 1 this game has been full blast! Artillery is freakn' flyin everywhere. Squads are hauling ass all over the place. **** is blowing up all over the map. Troops are already panicking. Jeff uncovered a hornets nest of my FO's and chased them around the map with artillery and infantry. What a dumb ass move on my part for placing them all in one spot together. The Crack sqaud that was protecting them did their job, their dying right now, surrounded and at least doubley out numbered by Jeffs Allied infantry. Artillery barrages cover at least half of the map right now, there no place to run or hide.

I set up a strong force outside the door to the house he had set a bunch of his FOs in. Turn 1 they come flying out of that house (at least 4 or 5 of them). Needless to say, I am trying to cut them down, but here comes this platoon of Sturm guys charging into the house, so my infantry had to deal with them and I only got to kill two of the FOs. Cost him a platoon of SturmTroopers, but he saved most of his artillery. Going to be a very interesting fight. Lots of cover, but the Pit means that it is not as helpful as you would expect.
