1. Waz up Duke. I'm in Mannheim, trying to stay out of the middle east.......again. Doesn't look to good though. Anyway, good to see you still hanging around. Maybe I'll shoot you an E-mail some time and this ole' commo guy can teach an old tanker a lesson or two. Have a good one. P.S If anything is wrong with the scenario, you know I'll be more than happy to hang out the dirty laundry here.
2. My gosh it has probably been at least a year since I posted here on the boards. I never had a game before CM that I still played after 6 months. CM is going on 2 years for me now. If there is any feature in CMBB I would like to see, it would be something to this affect. Nothing special, just some type of follow command to ease the vehicle movement order proccess. I remember it being requested here on the boards during the first couple of patches for CM. It's still a great idea. And it does not take away the micro-management aspect for the player. If we can plot movements to infinity, then there's no argument that a follow command "FOR VEHICLES" would make CMBB any less realistic.
3.
quote:
Originally posted by Stoffel: LOL,Jaws! Good to know there are more real Dutchmen!! We can have our own little AKOTm when Def shows up

What kind of beer will we be drinking???
4.
quote:
Originally posted by Stoffel: hey Deff, Just jump in your car and drive to me(netherlands/soesterberg),you can use mine if you want

You know what, I may just take you up on that Stoffel. I am definatley touring the Nederlands during my three years here. So may be we got a hot seat brewing in the mix. I know for sure I will visit Arnhem. Good luck in the tourney, Duke always runs a goos show.
5. Duke and fellow AKoT'ers; Looks like the tourney kicked off smoothly. Still waiting for my PC to get here in Germany, so it looks like I'll have to wait for the next AKoTM tourney. Aawwww, I wouldn't want to spoil all the fun by kicking everyones ass anyway, you guys are having way to much fun. Good luck to everyone. Tblaster...... What happened man???
6.
quote:
Originally posted by Mr. Johnson-<THC>-: Although maybe Manx should change the name of the site to "Shrine To Tiger" hehehe

Lol, there does seem to be an overwhelming amount of Tiger mods there. Nothing against Tiger, but I don't run to many of his mods, they are just a wee bit to bland for me. But, he's still 1000 times more talented than I.
7. Madd Matt; Do you personnaly have to test all the MODS?? Maybe you could just put up a big ass disclaimer stating that ALL MODS ARE UNTESTED!!! and just do away with the untested mod area..... It could save you some time and leave the responsibility up to the user for backing up his BMP folder. Plus, we could get a preview of ALL the mods on CMHQ, not just the tested ones. Just some suggestions, it's still a great site.
8. I think it sounds good. You could even adopt the rules from Fionns 75/76 rules and modify them a little to fit your style. It forces you to use tactics and terrain wisely. You have come up with a fair but stern penalty for slackers. I dont have any suggestion for this one. As for the interest in another AKOTM..... Maybe you could post a thread with the appropriate title instead of some corney ass saying like "I'm back whoopde doo...." Being that probably nobody really cares....
9. CMHQ is truly an excellent site. The first, and only official source for CM stuff. CMHQ will always be the flag ship of CM. Bu IMO, Manx has surpassed it with his great work over at Combatt-missions.net/ The main reason is the continuous updates. Always something new and interesting. I hit it almost every day.
10. Good to see ya WB. We thought you retired, moved to Florida, started bass fishing and golfing.
11. Damn it!!!! I haven't finished 6 or 7 yet. Thanks for the work Rune.
12. Manx, let me make a public statement about how excellent your WEB site is. Anybody who doesn't know about Combat-missions.net/ needs to check it out now!! I was really disappointed when the great ASL2CM site closed down, but Manx has taken the flag and ran with it full speed. The site is continuously updated and has grown into a full fledged CM resource for gamers. See for yourself.
13. Geoff; You probably were like me, taken in by all the media hype of up comming games and the producers making them sound like the best thing sincesliced bread. I was so fed up with sucky PC war games I sat down one saturday and searched the web for about 4 hours before I stumbled on to this little GEM!!!! CM didnt get that hype. It was built by input soley from the people on this forum. It seems like a simple game.........til you play it a couple times, then you play another human, then you relize just how massive and complex it really is.
14. Duke brother!!!!! Wazup. I have been wallowing in sorrow for the last 3 months cause I didnt win the AKOTM trophy. But I dried my tears and carried on......... Moving to Mannheim Germany on the 14th. Ship my computer on the 7th. But I do want to play the next CM AKOTM!!!!! I guess I'll be back up on line around the end of May or mid June. If you don't want to wait for me, I understand. But if you can, count me in. I suggest making it a little smaller this time. Like the first twelve. First come, first serve. Also make more severe penalties for slackers. Or, if you do keep it at 20 or so players, make the maps smaller, and 25 turns with around 1000-1500 points. Good to see you haven't died from Gulf War illness.
