I like to give my impressions after buying a new cm I didn't do this for the final blitkrieg as usual, I will only give praise and it ended up getting redundant.

I also bought shortly after the big SF2 bundle and here for once I have something to say

Where are my soviet snipers !!

in the "UK Industrial city" scenario, a sniper shoots for more than 20 minutes without hitting an anti-tank team at 400 m

An infantryman arrives and fires a burst of L85A2 and deactivates the anti-tank. I was taken to laughing imagining the look the infantryman must have given him and the lonely moment of the sniper ...

here is the man, for reasons you will understand i blurred his name and his face
it's normally a crack ....

I also had to test with horror the mk19 in support, the sheafe of grenades hit the target building as much as the American team which was about to take it

is this kind of precision problem, normal ?

I'm guessing the AT team was behind a low wall?

In that case, this can happen:

Sniper aims for centre of the body.

High accuracy means each shot will hit exactly the centre of the body.

But a low wall blocks LOF.

(this can happen if the sniper is placed lower than the target)

Result: Sniper hits the wall with every shot. Just keeps firing and never adjusts the aim. The target is unharmed.

When the regular soldier arrives, he also aims for centre of the body, but his aim is not good, so he misses and hits high. Especially if firing a burst. One or more shots then hit the enemy behind the wall.

This sounds like a reasonable explanation of the game mechanics to me.

I've seen it happen only once. It's quite rare I have a high accuracy sniper at close range and lower than a target behind a low wall.

The reason it doesn't happen against targets in buildings is that the bullet punches through and/or that building cover is abstracted. Low walls are not. I think they will block all bullets until they are destroyed.

it is true that I much prefer the ww2 titles
despite everything the asymmetrical side is particularly attractive
and offers a host of unique scenarios
then the "coup d'etat" of Moss
and the Heaven in Hearth which obviates the conflicts 60 70 make weighty arguments to try this game

If you give a manual command the sniper misses every time. A sniper makes his own decision just in real life. You place him in a spot with a cover arc, and let the AI call the shot. Snipers are more useful in spotting which they do 90% of the time. Use DOPE Data Of Personal Equipment aka the Snipers Bible Take note when the sniper scores a kill. I found it out with DOPE Position the sniper and let him face in the right direction using a cover arc< I never give him a manual command. Also make sure the sniper has at least a sound contact before you put him in his position. Sound contact is the wrong expression, another unit spots the enemy through the command chain the info passes on. Make sure the sniper has the secondary contact icon.

One of the CM2 LOS issues is that while a unit may show it has a clear LOS to a target, one cannot tell if every member of that unit has a clear LOS.  So, what happens is that an AT gun or HMG that seems to be able to see and shoot at a target - but it cannot cos only the 3rd ammo loader has clear LOS and can shoot.  In the sniper example it is always possible that the spotter has LOS but the chap with the sniper rifle does not.
