Zamo
I just jotted some stuff down in Capt. Manieri's Reserve topic, and noted a couple of Marines there, then I just noted another Marine in another topic, and thus decided to see how many of "the few and the proud" are lurking around here. Joe Shaw
Well my brother was a Major flying Cobras in Desert Storm, my son is a Cpl. with the 3rd FSSG in Oki and my father in law was with the 6th Marines as they hit the beaches at Saipan ... we buried him on this last D-Day. PS: Hey Chris Dion aka ArdRi69------ I noted your "Go tell the Spartans" signature, run, don't walk to your nearest bookstore and grab the paperback version of "Gates of Fire" by Steven Pressfield. It's a historically based novel of the battle of Thermopylae as recounted to Xerxes and his scribes by the sole surviving Spartant from his deathbed. AN AWESOME RETELLING!!! Jager 7
Lee, I find the arty and FO's in CM quite well done. I think it is the first game I've ever seen that handles appropriate and credible artillery effects. I've had some debates on this forum with some folks who think the arty is too responsive but I find it a very accurate portrayal. WWII arty was very responsive provided the FO's had comm...(some things never change). It's also very good to see a game that simulates FO's and makes the player have to think about their employment. In CM a good FO with a clear LOS can wreak havoc on a lot of bad guys...just as in the real world. Have a great day...out here and Semper Fi. ------------------ When the situation is obscure....attack! CGen. Heinz Guderian
