Atago
I'd pay for a full new game, and the modules. I just started playing it again after a year or more and am enjoying it quite a bit. The different hot keys drive me nuts, and I'm sure I'll go back to Black sea or one of the others at some point and have to re-relearn those now. Sigh. I suppose you could mod CMBS with some new maps and terrain to simulate a dessert/more open environment and get some of the feel of CMSF, but it would not be the same.
borg
I can organize a charity run if need be - in aid of CMSFII there must be some votes supporting this...
Erwin
Yes, I still enjoy playing CMSF - perhaps as it's the only CM2 game that largely features long ranges - and forces one to conserve troops. The predominantly short ranges and bloodiness of the CM2 titles and even CMBS makes all those titles tend to blend together so it's hard to tell one from the other.
lanceh55
My original Shock Force does not work since upgrading to a new Mac. I am very interested and would pay the going price for a new version.
LongLeftFlank
Said this before, but I'd advocate an "Arc Ablaze" (Crescent Ablaze being non-PC) battle pack for CMBS, rather than an all new game family. USD50. Recycle as much CMSF/CMA terrain and NATO/Uncon/Muj/ArabArmy TOE and skins as you can without putting large bootstrap burden on Charles & Co. Don't sweat content: the community will provide. It's a mother beautiful bridge and it's gonna be there! I will personally come out of CM retirement and forward port my Ramadi and Homs urban master maps if this happens.

I'd pay full price just for that as long as the uncons and IEDs came with it.

Sgt.Squarehead
Please, please Steve listen to LLF! That is a great idea.....So great that if you promise to do it and promise to ensure CM:A is included in the upgrade along with CM:SF, you can have my money right now as a pre-order. If it's of any value I'd be willing to offer my time to test or perhaps script some stuff for such a project....I'm inexperienced, but very enthusiastic. kulik242
I always return to CMSF when I get fed up with the bloodbaths endings of my CM WW2 games. CMSF is like "10 KIA's?! I need to get my **** together and replay this scenario."
Sgt.Squarehead
And when that gets stale it's off to CM:A for a bloodbath of a different colour.....The options are endless.
Erwin
+1 on those comments. Playing CMSF makes one a better WW2 player as one has gotten more sensitized to friendly losses. CMSF definitely helped me be a better CM1 player in the days when there were many CM1 tournaments available.
LongLeftFlank
I have lately been sorely tempted to do a mod and scenario covering the infamous 2015 "SAF 44" raid and massacre of Philippine police commandos by Moro militias in Mamasapano, Mindanao. (Heheh, he thed "MILF", heheh)

LongLeftFlank
Indeed. I live here and it's considered a national disgrace. A regular Army battalion was close by with mech and mortars and could have saved some of the kids but nobody told them the raid was happening. Conspiracy theories of course also abound (CIA and Delta Force was there too and ditched their SAF escorts, etc.). Plentiful what-if scenarios. Heck, I might even sell some CMSF copies to the AFP command schools (hey brods, don't do this!). More than one way to fund an upgrade lol!
