Yeah, after the ~300th email it stopped late yesterday.

Anyone else get about 100 emails from Slitherine that their round two games had finished this morning? I am receiving 2 emails every 3 minutes from the automated system and it has been going on for hours.
 

In case anybodys wondering... no an 82mm mortar round cant penetrate the top hull of a BMP. Or I got unlucky, thought for sure they could. 😱

I have had the same problem in the blitzkrieg tournament. I believe it is a problem with how their scoring system handles surrenders. It counts as if the battle never finished as you never reached the final turn.

@BFCElvis Somethings wrong with the scoring, I Iost pts for some reason. My score went from 2150 down to 1881. Apparently that timed out symbol is the culprit. Not sure why as we finished this game weeks ago with my opponent surrender. I think the other battle is fine.

This is the end result from my assault. Was able to have a TRP on a group of his T72s which was fortunate for me and I was able to take all objectives.

For my defense, I tried to spread out my tanks as much as possible, and although their performance was overall very lackluster, I did have a hero crew who destroyed 
3 T62s and 2 BMPs before going down, by hiding in the small forward Western set of buildings. Their sacrifice will be remembered.

Is there a ‘correct’ way?
Like as long as players enjoy the game does it matter how they play it?
Anyway given a hyper dynamic environment like a digital battlefield the process of fighting a battle it’s less about a correct way based on a set of rules, more principles and imagination and creativity surely?

Sure hope his dislike for the area fire order isn't playing a factor in playing. Interesting how he was very active in that discussion while not playing your game. Hate to see unfinished games in the first invitational tourney for CM. In my nearly 25 yrs of playing CM1 and 2 in lots of tourneys/campaigns/ladders, I've never come across a player wanting a house rule for restricted area fire use.

Yeah. You can get away with it against the AI. But they're almost always one of the firs things I shoot at. One of the lesson's from Monty Python's "How Not To Be Seen" is that you shouldn't hide behind the only bush in the field.
 

Everyone knows Patton was gamey.  He never followed the house rules.

That would be disappointing if it doesn't end up finishing. People can have disagreements, but I would hope that an "invitational" tournament would have people who want to play and finish games against the best the game has to offer. @Artkin last said that he was busy when I last was able to contact him on the 20th of March, so hopefully he will have some time freed up so we can complete.

And the less home rules, the less risk of cheating - even unwillingly: "oops, I think I think I just broke rule #12.5..." 🥴

You may insist on that rule for your own opponents. I, and I expect many others, will never abide by it. 

The area fire is certainly flying here 🫣.  It's just a game and we can play it how we like, with agreement if another human is involved. 
Being the naive person I am, I've never even mentioned house rules to anyone but it's never been a problem.  Except for when I was sent a full page of house rules that I didn't quite understand.  That game stalled there as no explanations were forthcoming.

I know it is common for us to call them sound contacts but they are not all sound contacts. They are unclear or unestablished contacts. Sound is one way but just spotting something but not being sure what it is exactly is also depicted by the same symbol.

If your vehicle sees gunfire coming from a bush, you should be able to shoot at it even if you can't see the gun itself. To assume that vehicles should just stand still and get shot without response is kind of ridiculous. 

If you are talking about green and conscript troops, then wouldn't it make sense that it could also be because of their lack of maintenance with their vehicles. If you throw a bunch of men inside of a tank, and tell them to drive in a straight line, they can do that, but they might not have realized that one of the gears was already breaking down.

Exactly one year after the first announcement, the project is now finished. In order to avoid
misunderstandings on the part of the company Battlefront.com, I chose the name CampaignPack 😎.
The pack (as described in former threads) consists of 5 campaigns in which the player is thrown
into the events of the summer of 1944 in the sector of the German Army Group Center.
In total you will play minium 52 single missions, maximum 55 single missions (depending on one
branch). To avoid technical problems, I didn't add any mods to the campaigns. But I can, for example,
highly recommend the excellent work of @JM Stuff, especially his extraordinary mod collection of vehicles
and wrecks 👍
