  1. I just followed his procedure and did not have a problem, file saved and is in my Outgoing Email folder.

The flashing underscore was there as he described, i.e. “It’s a New Dawn 001_ “ (underline is flashing) but the actual saved filename is It’s a New Dawn 001 so I think it just shows you where the cursor is in the box.  However his report then shows Email save failed. It’s a New Dawn001_  could not be created and this does have an underscore in it, not sure why?  The space before the 001 has disappeared in his fail message as well, but that may be just a typo.

As a young whippersnapper you are too young to have been there during '44. To quote Kay Summersby's bit on on the side, "Don't you people ever have a god damn summer".

For much of Epsom it was a mixture of heavy rain and brief sunny intervals.

You make a reasonable point, my memories are indeed of more recent visits, during which I had better luck with the weather and a warmer welcome than that extended by the likes of the 12th SS.

Russian supply column a few km  NE of Karkhiv got whacked. It's not going well for the Russians in this part of Ukraine.  (And quite a lot of the this randomly blowing up near Belgorod are only just over the border in this area too).

That one is worth watching to the end.  Jeez Louise...

I'm with Steve that I don't think the US will stop support for a long time. The old eastern bloc nations will also continue support for however long they have to along with Sweden and Finland. I'm sure Canada and Australia will do what they can as well, but just the eastern bloc nations and the US can keep the UA equipped and going on their own for a long time.

And your list of supporters may be missing one or two other countries?

How long will it take to train them up to even the low standards of active duty forces concerning unit cohesion?

And even equip them properly.  The guy in the back row is probably wondering about that, unless he just chose a bad time to try 'photo-bombing'.

It is fascinating to me how good the quality is of OSINT that us "amateurs" are able to make pretty accurate judgements of how the war is going.

Since day one of the invasion if not before, this forum has given me a far better view of what's going on, thanks to everyone involved ❤️.

Hello? Why is everyone terrified of getting beat on this forum?

LOL. I know this was a while ago, but funny.

I don't have BS or I'd happily get beaten by you (ooh err missus).  I have all the WW2 titles but perhaps that's not your thing right now...

Anyway my PBEM opponents all came from this site.  Long live this site.

I'd have guessed that towing it by the barrel is probably better in that regard, since the barrels are pretty long. The strain on the barrel from towing the weight of the gun is relatively small and mostly along the length of the gun, which is the direction it is strongest in.

Towing it the other way around would have the gun's wheels close to the towing connection, which means that the barrel could easily swing sideways much wider than you'd expect (unlike towing by the barrel, where the whole carriage will just follow the truck). This could easily lead to the barrel taking hard lateral blows close to the muzzle, which is the situation most likely to bend the whole barrel or flatten the tube out of being cylindrical, both of which could be catastrophic.

    That makes sense.
