Firefox tells me parts of the BFC site are not secure. As long as those parts aren't accounts / payment then it maybe isn't so much of a problem. Good to to bring up the issue though, and I'm sure @BFCElvis will put our minds at rest.

That's good enough for me .

@George MC I like your vernacular (ooh err). How are your recent projects going, as I always enjoy your work and thought I could sneak in some espionage at the same time?

Late war British battle group
Vacillator replied to John Kettler's topic in Combat Mission Final Blitzkrieg
John, I can't see your original photo, but the adapted Jeep from Falaise seems like a good idea to me if you have to spend any time in it, particularly over night. But then I do come from a camping and campervan background / current ground . Hmmm that may not be a campervan emoji... -
I quite like the graphics, but I'm prepared for some criticism of that statement .

Welcome E5K, your gaming sounds a bit like mine. The tanking bit not so much, the closest I have managed is at Bovington Tank Museum in Dorset, UK () and also one or two interesting days at Weston Super Mare 'tank days on the beach' (sadly now shut down after a Sherman engine compartment caught fire last time I was there, due it seemed to a collision with a T34 - we in the crowd were too close for Health and Safety ). Anyway, happy gaming and feel free to ask any questions .

Okay so no takers on the A400M, the noise from which I experienced (and loved) again today. We also have https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/AgustaWestland_AW101 and https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/AgustaWestland_AW159_Wildcat as we're in an Army Air Corps low fly zone. Nice!

I would, but I'm a bit busy at the moment. You could post in the General Discussion 'CM2 opponent finder' thread as well. Good luck and I'm sure we'll meet up at some point . EDIT: forgot to say 'welcome!', how rude am I?
-
Well said @Falaise my friend. I also regret being slow on the uptake (what was I doing for all of those years?). But we must live for today and tomorrow, not yesterday .
-
Totally agree with both, the community is great and you may as well go for FI as it's very good. Oh and a big welcome. The problem you might have is finding enough time to give all the titles a proper try . I only started last May and have all the WW2 titles but have only scratched the surface really, some slightly more than others.

Hi beep and welcome. The protection thing isn't an issue in my experience. If you're looking at buying Battle for Normandy, I would say go for it. And then you'll get Red Thunder, Final Blitzkrieg and Fortress Italy - but not necessarily in that order .

These wonderful beasts are making the most interesting noises in the night-time skies above my house: https://www.raf.mod.uk/aircraft/atlas-c1-a400m/ Those turbo-props, wow!

Welcome. If you have a BFC account, log in and open a Help desk ticket - @BFCElvis will get you sorted. If you are Steam-only then hopefully Elvis will advise anyway as I've tagged him... If neither of these options work I'm sure others will be along soon with more advice...

Archer Tank Destroyers facing wrong way?
Vacillator replied to Andy_101's topic in Combat Mission Fortress Italy
An interesting word. Recently criticised for being 'American-ish', but as we (Queen's Englishers ) already have 'ill-gotten gains' I imagine that's not justified? If there's anyone I could ask I thought it might be you? And we can get back to 17 pounders and doing it in a ditch in just a moment... -
Jagdpanther schurzen?
Vacillator replied to Bubba883XL's topic in Combat Mission Battle for Normandy
It's probably because most pictures of JPs after-action (i.e. abandoned or destroyed) don't have any schurzen. Whether they started with them or not, who knows. Most pictures (but not all) with schurzen are from the training grounds... And we must remember - other nations made tank destroyers, which may or may not have been as good, as 'sexy', as badly out-numbered, etc. etc. EDIT: I'm also glad that you're LYAO, I find there's not much better than LMAO . -
Archer Tank Destroyers facing wrong way?
Vacillator replied to Andy_101's topic in Combat Mission Fortress Italy
Sorry, shall I delete? My attempt at bringing back an even keel seems to have backfired . -
I'm also loving this Bil, as always. I'm learning a lot from your initial assessment process and the ability to hold forces back until needed, as opposed to my usual 'get it all up there as quick as possible' (hmmm, that doesn't sound quite right, but you know what I mean ). Good luck and looking forward to your victory!

Archer Tank Destroyers facing wrong way?
Vacillator replied to Andy_101's topic in Combat Mission Fortress Italy
You two should get a room. I must stop saying that. Anyway, here's proof (I think) that the driver did not have to jump in a ditch while t'others were doing their business. But it also proves that he felt the need for something a bit more protective. -
Tunisia Campaign [WIP] "The Big Red One At Dawn"
Vacillator replied to kohlenklau's topic in CM Fortress Italy Maps and Mods
That's excellent news. I haven't finished 'Wacht am Rapido' yet so there's time . -
Archer Tank Destroyers facing wrong way?
Vacillator replied to Andy_101's topic in Combat Mission Fortress Italy
I'd be happy to take them on with a single J*******r, from the other end of the street . Ambridge is more of a metropolis than I'd imagined... -
CMFB (Unofficial) Screenshot Thread
Vacillator replied to AttorneyAtWar's topic in Combat Mission Final Blitzkrieg
Welcome and well done with the screen shots. Depending on image source you may find your 'allowance' for posting pictures will fill up, but you can delete old ones from your profile 'attachments' listing and they will still show up on the forum. Hope that makes sense... Enjoy the gaming! -
Pre-orders for Fire and Rubble are now open!!
Vacillator replied to BFCElvis's topic in Combat Mission Red Thunder
Be careful though, you should balance that with 'other vehicles from other nations might be equally great, or even better'.
