  1. The wires are its Achilles Heel. The Sinai was perfect for even the first generation in 1972 in Europe there will be some problems for the system. In SF2 the Scimitar is difficult to hit by Syrian ATGM's speed seems to be the best defense. Glad I try it out from behind my PC.
  2. Power Poles I didn't know. It comes down to tactics in other words, harassing barrage for example or other suppressive tactics. The Sagger in SF2 is clearly showing its age and not hard to counter once its position is known.
  3. I asked the designer, thanks for your advice. Shadows are supposed to conceal marksmen, but I see no evidence in the game. I know trees, power poles etc. can hinder Wired Guided projectiles. Machine gun fire could or should suppress ATGM 2nd generation they fly at half the speed or less of a NATO 7.62 projectile.
  4. I unlock camera levels according to terrain features. Pos 3 Top of high-rise buildings four if you occupy key terrain. 5 to 9 are maps to be used by HQ units.
  5. Hard Cat Rule 5C, why don't we just press Alt+Z to show the C2 lines? I have it switched off most of the time. On Iron during the replay phase, you can see which units display their Icons relative to their HQ. I don't have much of a problem with the Area Fire Rules. Cover Arcs should be permitted if you press the Shift Key (Full Circle). That way you can hold your fire in an area.
  6. He has the Fagot ATGM which is like the Milan or the TOW it seems that the trees provide you with protection against ATGM's. Is that a feature in the game?
  7. Rest my case watch from 12:40 onwards. Feel free to use it as a tank if you like. Sturmgeschütz (StuG) - German Assault Artillery - History & Organization #StugLife - YouTube
  8. @Combatintman true western influence is disappearing fast policies are often seen as nonsensical.
  9. Yep, I talked Dutch for 15 years and English for 55 years. Depends on where you are in the English-speaking world. I knew what you were thinking when I read the post. Some words you must be careful with: Ledikant, vak and kok probably a few more.
  10. Grain in Dutch is graan, I am not an expert just conversational.
  11. Battle for Normandy is on my D-Drive because I run out of space. It works simply fine. They ask where to install and nominate D-drive.
  12. Corn is derived from the Dutch word 'Koren' which is Maiz in Dutch. He should have written wheat, barley, rye or whatever. Hard to tell the difference from this photograph.
  13. The Srebrenica massacre, typical. The protocol was airstrikes need to be authorized by the United Nations. Just read an article about it. Without that authorization it is pointless to grant air support. Blue Helmet duty aids the prestige of ambitious politicians. But this is a hobby site we don't discuss politics. Making a wargame around such a scenario is pointless too.
  14. US tactics are too much for some 3rd World Countries to adopt economically. No bad soldiers just incompetent generals at times.
  15. Yes, we can't nominate which shell is up probably beyond the scope of the game.
  16. Trajectory, CM always claims that the trajectory of every weapon is calculated. The French 105 mm shoots at a much lower muzzle velocity than the NATO L7 105 mm.
  17. I am not 100 % but conversational in German and they didn't call it a tank. Neither wore the crew a tank uniform. I think a co axial MG to the main gun is the criteria.
  18. In Battle for Normandy if you bail out of an undamaged tank on the tank's interface is noted dismounted.
  19. The South Vietnamese army. Often members of the same family served with the Vietcong and the South Vietnamese army. If you go to the former US embassy in Ho Chi Minh city you can see the marking of the bombs dropped off by a South Vietnamese pilot using an F5 American plane. I visited the place five years ago. It was like a game of Chinese checkers, when you capture an enemy, you can turn them against your opponent. The code of war in Asia is a little different than in Europe.
  20. Probably in this game the Soviet gunnery will be on par. The Israelis made tank gunnery their priority obviously it paid off. The Sherman with the French 105 mm still gave a good account of itself from defensive positions. The T62 Russian version seems to have had features they didn't export to the Arabs. I look forward to it when it comes out. Good luck with your project.
  21. With the 115 mm the Soviets achieved parity with L7 105 mm NATO gun. But on the Golan Heights and in the Sinai the gunnery standards were found lacking. If my memory serves me right 1972 showed the new generation ATGM at work. Infantry like David outranged Goliath once more. 2 km was not good enough anymore.
  22. Whether we play history or alternative history, the alternative history is the Fulda Gap Battles and leave the North German Plain offside. The Russians were blocked from capturing Hamburg by the British at the end of WW 2. I wait like Battle for Normandy till all the modules have come out. With Fire and Rubble, it is something to complete Red Thunder. The Olde Hansa League Cities are too important to be left out. Hamburg, Lüneburg, Gdansk to name a few. Logistics and supply. I can't see the Soviets managing by road transport only.
  23. A similar set up as you have. If it aint broke I don't fix it. Would be nice to make a short video in regards tactics I use. I will first use the system which comes in my PC and runs in the background I suspect when I run PowerPoint. My games run perfect on my system, all I have installed is most CM games, Microsoft Office and Affinity Photo program. The latter is great for processing screenshots.
