  1. The M14 was about equal to the SLR (FAL) the Australian army was using. The Europeans were also using that weapon and the Germans the G3 all 7.62 mm NATO on paper Superior to the AK47. In Israeli hands more to do with their training the M60 and Centurion could hold their own against the Soviet equipment in the Arab armies. I accept with the T64 he Soviets had probably a better tank on paper. Kind regards I come here first to discuss the game and I am not a fan of the Cold War because it never took place.
  2. Compared with other countries the US was OK in my opinion. M4 Easy Eight Sherman was the mainstay in the Korean war. The bogey tank the Soviet IS3 was not an efficient tank at all. Egyptian service in the Sinai outmaneuvered by Israeli Shermans which could go from A to B without dehydrating the crew. The IS3 was relegated to static defense positions. The new Soviet tank on the block was the T54 like an SU100 with a turret all WW2 technology. US armour was at least equal fortunately we never found out how the Soviets would have handled their armor. The North Koreans and the Arab Nations didn't exactly promote it. probably unfair to judge the Soviet export models with western technologies.
  3. The modelling of snipers. A Crack or Elite sniper should be an absolute pain but this is not modelled. They miss far too often and are spotted too soon because they miss too often.. Suggestions, instead of firing and miss let him not take the shot instead. In real life this is what separates an Olympic Shooter from a Club Shooter. Both have the same technical know how but an Elite Marksman knows when to call off his shot. Let him take a proper shot after 2 or more minutes by all means but don't let him miss 6 or more times during that time. Somebody who knows more about animations and the algorithm than me could come up with suggestions. Here it goes as I intended.
  4. Ok I googled it and a screen capture app came up.
  5. Shocking I was born in 1950 what is Skybox?
  6. The old game of 'Battleships' on the table top. You were not allowed to peek over the other side. But you can do in CM with your helicopters. If they start shooting at something you know a little more. Choppers a mix of scouts and flying artillery.
  7. Thanks for your effort, but I look for Battle for Normandy. Found a TRP with artillery still not 100% reliable. Kind regards
  8. Here this guy explains this system very well. It is not only a top attack system.
  9. Once upon a time wearing a mask was common sense. No point in forcing the issue, once one apple is rotten the remainder of the basket soon follows. Yes I am double vaccinated in a place where there is no Covid yet. Side effects? I am 72 least I can do, if it shows up hope younger people get a better vaccine.
  10. Thermal imaging is a method of using infrared radiation and thermal energy to gather information about objects. Not my words btw.
  11. Never be sure about anything, they get tired quickly which affects spotting in my opinion. But once recovered their ability to spot returns. The situation in the game influences me to make decisions as in real life. Just bright sunlight can throw you off. Some briefing don't mention the time of day. So we don't know the position of the sun. The tiring and tired could be generic with all the other factors like spotting etc. If you play RT or SF2 an RT sniper performs similar with his Mosin Nagant compared with a sniper with a Parker & Hale .308 Magnum in SF2. The latter required 6 shots to take out a RPG7 operator at 360 meters in a foxhole. What caused so many misses in the engine mechanics? I keep a log of incidences I find odd and see or there is a pattern.
  12. Lol I find this one getting closer XM1018 High Explosive Air Bursting (HEAB) (globalsecurity.org)
  13. In real life during a shooting competition. Temperature 42C windy RH 15% it affected the scores without doubt at 50 meters due to a mirage effect too. I wonder or this is reflected in the game. No personal best were recorded. In SF2 where they have similar conditions the infantry just get tired quickly, but they spot just the same never mind the position of the sun.
  14. Yes it is just a graphic. When I right click on my tool and select go to folder it just starts the game now. We are on the right path I hope the desk can help you out.
  15. Visit this link and see or it helps you. Everything works on my machine so I leave the files alone.
  16. Better write a ticket, I forgot how it ended up on my desktop. It was something new when I bought F&R.
  17. I get the idea it is post year 2000 technology.
  18. Fair comment in WW2 they were also used to avoid ground burst detonation and explode at a certain height. Against the Japanese with anti aircraft munitions. I just learned something new with ABHE.
  19. Good freebie but you need to play with it. Some learning curb. You can make a Blue vs Red mission anywhere in the world. MilitaryMap - Plan your Mission
  20. Have you got the activate tool? I had the same when I tried to activate F&R
  21. Is that the same as a Proximity Fused HE?
  22. Windows + G give you a beautiful Print Screen Tool. With an editing program you can make a professional tactical map. Here is a guy who explains C.O.A plans. His website. Gordon Cooke - YouTube
  23. The way to do it. Sample all suggestions and stick to the one what works. CM is not in the Windows Store and it is the only AP I have outside the Windows Store. All my other APPs don't crash, like photo editing and office.
  24. IED? I was looking for a WW2 incident. It happened in the village of Bolsward The Netherlands. Canadians were coming and three Germans of a White Bread Unit (Wounded Badge) were stationed there. They asked politely for the bridge to be hauled up, the bridge watcher disappeared instead. They retaliated by throwing a bundle of stick grenades in his house and blew the bridge up. They escaped by a previously planned route after sniping at the Canadians for a few minutes. I thought that would be a fun scenario for a beginner. I could put a TRP on the bridge and let heavy artillery destroy the bridge which is not reliable. You see I got stuck very early in the project.
