  1. Thank you what about writing a review if you are only registered?
  2. Yes I think it does. You can't comment on their forums unless you have a steam account. Which you get if you have a steam key.
  3. it is very difficult because the map designer doesn't know which forces a player may select. We found QB scenarios are better against a human player.
  4. Abu Susah, I think for them to be truly effective the triggerman needs to time his device to perfection. That is by pushing the button at just the right time. I think that can only be done when you play Real Time by pausing the game. I just ask for a second opinion as I think the AI may just fall short. But I have not the experience required to set it up in the editor.
  5. *****SPOILERS***** Just one Stryker Should replay it as Red to find out.
  6. Which mode of play is better when you use IED'S Real Time or WEGO? In one of the scenarios in which IED's were used Real Time was recommended for what I suspect were the IED's. On WEGO in the AAR's most were not used.
  7. Easier said than done. Units and triggers are embedded as well. I plan to use the military map maker in future projects. MilitaryMap - Plan your Mission wish BF had something like that. which would generate an overlay in editor. t
  8. It doesn't Crt +click on 4 gives you POV on 1. I cursed it myself before I got it. The manual needs some attention as well.
  9. I liked Der Kunst des Kriege's art of war in other words. At least the Germans don't have the Javelin which I find a spoiler in some ways. No doubt a terrific anti tank weapon every Stryker has one if you play US. I feel marksmanship in the modern titles need to be remodeled particularly the Snipers. Instead of recording misses they shouldn't take the shot. I understand if they need three minutes to take out a target not that they shoot 5 or more misses during that time. Yes I prefer RT&FR next Monday we play H&H again. another thing with Campaigns it is play against the AI only. Regards
  10. Service pistol in Australia started as a match between the services. Target UIT rapid fire target. Pity it was biased towards the revolver in view of the tactical reload and the bullet just had to be able to punch through the paper. The civilian version of the match permitted a customized .38 model 14K .38 special. Auto pistols just were not in the running. My load a 148 grain wadcutter going just below 800 ft/sec shot terrific groups at 50 meters. The tactical advantages of a semi auto were undermined by the rules of the match. Yes people who own private firearms are always at an advantage.
  11. It was quoted by my father at that time. We still lived in the Netherlands, there were Hungarian refugees coming over. Children always find a way to communicate really fast. A nice family ended up living with us. They must have understood German which was taught at Dutch high schools.
  12. Yes (Haring met de haaienbek) during the Hungarian uprising. He probably had fond memories when he was a Komisar. By the way we had a Hungarian refugee family living with us. They stayed in the living room. I was only six, I remember playing with their kids how which language? I can't recall.
  13. They are also included in F&R but each to his own. There they talk German which I overlook. (Mountains of the Moon) Khrushchev used to call them the Herring with Jaws. Since F&R came out have not touched SF2 much.
  14. You can say that again, it made me play Soviet. I must say it is all very well done. The most realistic of all CM games. SF2 I just don't know too much about it. Plays more like Science Fiction to me. Had another go, fell almost asleep. Will have a go playing Red I think.
  15. I don't, hoped for a more historical game. Operation unthinkable: Western Allies vs the Soviet Union (After all WW2 started because of the integrity of Poland. Corridor to Berlin the Soviets invaded West Berlin. The Hungarian uprising, the Prague Spring. They are all credible flashpoints. Sues crisis, Arab Israeli Wars, Vietnam or the Cubans in Southern Africa. Talking about Cuba the Bay of Pigs fiasco. The list goes on. But we all have an editor and need to acquire more skills. Don't depend on a few, they too have the right to enjoy themselves.
  16. No need to delete waypoints, you can shift the waypoints to any position you choose, by doing that you can shift the paths too. You end up with a fast flued game. CTR+mouse click positions you anywhere on the map. That includes waypoints. Click Ctr + mouse click on Camera position 4 don't do anything but go to camera position 1 and you find yourself on the exact position.
  17. It is all possible more practice on your part is required. I like to be able to split a squad inside an APC or IFV, outside it is good enough at present as is. Observe what a squad is doing while it is moving. The teams are split up according the terrain. Too much micro management spoils the game. I know because I used to do it.
  18. I owned a 1911 but that was for competition. Still iron sights but bigger for rapid fire acquisition also the insides had a workover to strip it required a wrench for the bushing. But it still fitted in the box for a 1911. The Browning HP some penpusher insisted on a magazine safety which stuffed up the strength of a single action semi auto. It ended up with a horrible trigger. I reloaded .30.06 and the Winchester .308 which is just a shorter version but again somebody wanted to keep the performance of the .30.06. They missed the boat here in my opinion. It could have had a 100 grain pill going at 3000ft/sec from a bolt rifle it was pleasant to shoot. Bullet weight influences the felt recoil just compare the .45 ACP and the 9 mm parabellum. Always wondered why Colt never made a 9mm for the military and the US army went overseas. I know you can get rid of the magazine safety of a Browning but try to tell that to the insurance company.
  19. I like a time traveler game. All of a sudden Abrams and Bradleys turn up mysteriously during the battle of the Bulge. Peiper's armor get blasted to smithereens and the shot from the 88mm's bouncing of the Abrams. Or the Israelis turn up, Merkava's with the Star of David.
  20. Modern Chess. Improved fancy graphics is not the one I watch. Classical Chess.
  21. I love that analogy at my age (72 soon) most milfs look like spring chickens. When I was brought up in the 60's it was airfix models and figurines. The Atlantic wall were shoeboxes and cut down toilet rolls with match sticks for guns. That is why the game is popular with older people.
