  1. HAHA! I was waiting for this. I just set 1 story buildings with destroyed walls and low roofs.. that does the trick well!
  2. Steam is definitely a little slower, and that's why I always play my official Battlefront copies. You definitely know what's up, I just remember being unable to play with a full MEU in real time mode on one of the H&E maps. My game was pretty locked up. But that map also had a ton of those older trees, so I guess they don't perform as well. I know BFC acknowledged trees and were looking for a solution for them not too long ago. How about Fortress Italy and then Cold War? Fortress Italy runs so slow in comparison as well
  3. Exhausted units are such drama queens I swear. Their accuracy shouldnt be affected. I have never noticed anything like that before
  4. that tree trunk appears to be moving on the right at like 1:13 before getting run over
  5. The Orshanets series of maps from CMRT work really well in CMBS if you want to blow some crossing btgs up
  6. True, but either way the btr made the effort to target the building in 4 locations where there were 4 things. I wasnt looking at tracers, but at where the impact points were. @KGBoy the btr engaged the windowd and doors, not the walls. It targetted 1 window, then the next, then the next, then it targetted the door.
  7. Got it, thanks I use Pale Moon and it doesn't do that for me. Good browser.
  8. 9. It just seems everything was facing the opposite direction
  10. A M1A2 company is 14 tanks, no? Thats nearly double
  11. So the Ukrainians waited for them to cross before annihilating them? That's an incredible amount of destruction
  12. Thanks for those graphics, they're pretty useful even outside of this conflict.
  13. Sorry I thought it was a laptop. Good news, the amd 3000 series chips are really, really fast even by todays ridiculous standards. You can overclock it since it's a desktop. It comes with a desktop motherboard which comes with a bios that probably has an overclocking utility.
  14. Quick testing: in both cases the windows and doors are targeted for modular buildings. Interestingly for area targeting the house: the btr I used fired at window 1, then door 1, then two more windows. And it switched back and fourth between all four of these over the course of the minute.
  15. I believe they are more accurate and fire into windows. I'm thinking of the usage of MG's right now. They definitely have to aim into the windows to kill. Either way this is an interesting question and I'm going to test it in cmbs
  16. Bug? Quick battles - October 1944 Soviet Army no Infantry gun formations, but it is in specialist teams.
  17. Here it is again, happening to my opponent this time. The closest troops I have to them are directly forward, and to the left of the screenshot. The fleeing germans ran left - into my firing line. Two HMG squads under small arms and mortar fire No more Germans. All gone.
  18. I wonder how you guys do that. Is that just a feature of opengl? You can "archive" some code which "extracts" into much larger amounts of data? Like - the files for the new content was "generated" instead of being uploaded. I don't know much of anything about code but I assume this is how it works.
  19. For sure, but the one minor inconvenience of running a laptop and playing CM is that CM loves high frequency CPUs. That AMD comes at 3.7Ghz. All of my chips are always ran somewhere around 5Ghz... It makes a substantial difference in fps. You don't buy a laptop intending to overclock it in the first place though. It will be very fast either way.
  20. That pc for $1300 is a steal lol take it. For 32gb ram - my arma 3 will max my 16gb kit out right now. CM won't. On Arma 3 - it's nothing special unless you find your way to a good community like Global Operations, or 15th MEU if you prefer a more hardcore approach. If you don't find your way into a community - Arma 3 is a dead game.
  21. Everything should be under Orders at Battlefront.com If you don't see your DL link next to - or when you click on your order - then you have to wait a bit for the payment to clear. I think a DL link gets sent to your email right away though. Also, that battle pack you bought should be built into the game already. It's already on your drive. The only thing you need to do to activate your Battle Pack - is copy the battle pack's code from the orders page, then run the application "Activate New Products - CMBS" (Found under Program files x86 -> battlefront -> combat mission black sea). Paste the code in that box and youre good to go.
  22. A good processor is essential, and having a more powerful videocard with more vram will have you load larger maps. also ive seen g skill ddr4 ram kits significantly increase performance in games. Whereas I have never seen pricy OFF THE SHELF ram increase fps. It was always possible for overclockers to do it, but I never wanted to mess around with that. I want to try a fancy ram kit but they are pricy. Last I checked 6 months ago (and before that 15 years ago) g skill was on top.
