  1. Thanks guys. Tried looking and bypassing google and wiki mainstream stuff to look for stuff that has never made it to the internet, on the Garand Sniper and couldn't really find aynthing. Just a bunch of sites saying M1C was put out and used during ww2 not going into much detail on the theaters used in. I even checked springfield armory museum page but couldn't find anything. I will still search.
  2. It's sad there are not many at all left 2016.... early or late 90's for most...
  3. How many of these were used toward the end of the war? Didn't airborne have a bunch?
  4. yeah that's pretty ridiculous lol! I always knew in game garand accuracy SUCKED!
  5. Really amazing video https://vimeo.com/128373915
  6. Looks like your greenhorn stug crew ran into some sherman veterans
  7. AI is not moving when I had a plan for them to go to specific locations after a save I opened it in scenario test and they did not move an inch. I had teams set up as U1,U2,U3 at the purchase screen and only a small number of soldiers soldiers rush, so why isn't armor moving with them they are in the U2 group? I wish the AI editor was more like arma 2, a very easy understandable editor. way points are added by a line, azimuth for units is done within the map, fuel level is added, gear can be edited etc
  8. Raptor wasn't that you on the right at 0:33 in that video? Now go read some history books..
  9. @ first post links - Errors when clicking them under table of contents > "There appears to be an error with the database." Please fix JonS
  10. Never said they didn't win. They really didn't smarten up until after the hedgerows. A true baptism by fire, surviving the bocage every hour made you a veteran. Every day you would learn new ways of fighting and surviving in it. The tactics in hedgerows were not discussed in training in England. I recommend the book breakout and pursuit its a free pdf Here is an excerpt the 90th Division had also seen its ranks depleted in the wearing battle of the hedgerows. Less than six weeks after commitment in Normandy, the division's enlisted infantry replacements numbered more than 100 percent of authorized strength; infantry officer replacements totaled almost 150 percent. In comparison to the veterans who had fought in the hedgerows, the replacements were poorly trained and undependable, as soon became obvious
  11. ^ I doubt the US green horns thought anything about any tactics for the first couple of months the green horns in Normandy were terrible, a lot were right out of high school facing veterans from the Eastern front.
  12. I'm leaving yours in place because they are great. I just did some tests. I guess it's capped. Over 3 minutes and it defaults to the stock background sound bummer.
  13. The occupants of those particular houses were smart enough and boarded them up false walled their home when the Germans invaded in 1940 LOL!
  14. Just checked, a ll of the buildings have doors.. don't sweat the small stuff..
  15. Interesting. Would it stop rifle or pistol/smg 9mm? The US half-track has the laminated shatter proof glass windshield as well, if the metal visor is down I would say that any small arms that would get past the metal visor (unlikely) would be stopped by the glass windshield
  16. Found this for the M4 105 sherman. "The cupola had 6 prismatic vision blocks of 3" laminated, bullet-resistent glass". https://web.archive.org/web/20060207171750/http://www.wwiivehicles.com/usa/tanks_medium/m4_sherman.html still searching for sources and if any other vehicles tanks and armored cars used it.
  17. Any historical information on the use of ww2 ballistic glass in allied vehicle viewports and optics? I thought I read a mention in war time popular science magazines online of Corning-Owens using it on some vehicles during ww2? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Corning_Inc.
  18. hearing bug and bird communication looped and with no changes for over a set amount of minutes could bring the human body out of dormancy in winter, ruin the old DNA, promote cancer etc, just kidding... I hope.. Any way to make summer longer than 3 minutes un-looped, or is it capped?
  19. Hopefully what is added in features to blitzkrieg will be added to normandy, ground hardness etc..
  20. I could list at least ten. Yeah don't revert back..
