Can you enter a building through a wall knocked out by a assault gun, would be a cool addition. They could use the same animation entering it as jumping over a fence. After all the enemy is expecting you to use that door

Youtube has tons of old veterans talking about the war they fought in. I believe it would be of great interest to you. just doing a simple search found this guy who fought in aachen telling you his experience. Stuff like this makes youtube GOLD. you can also search 'central illinois ww2 stories' I think a college did many interviews.

Guess fewer and fewer people appreciate that stuff they would rather bury their beak in a bright phone screen playing cartoons.

yes it is realistic.. It sounds like you just don't want it to be true. It can also penetrate a stug IIIs side armor. You would be surprised at what it could do. And no a late war German half-track could not deal with .50cal bullets as you say.

This is a fine case where gameplay over graphics. You will get used to the style of play and there is a ton of strategy involved you have to use to win campaigns it is similar to combat mission. If you like combat mission you will like close combat series.
