What's the best tactic it determining whether a panther has lots it's main gun? Popping out vehicles to check if it fires if almost a sure loss of friendly armor, in the case it is not out. There is a high risk of it losing it's main gun if friendlies have been shooting at it with medium or small barreled tanks. It is because the surrounding armor is so thick it will be likely the first thing to go or jam. If troops watch a vehicle long enough does enemy damage information get collected and become available to the opposing side? Just lost a battle because I feared the three panther tanks still had operational barrels when in fact they were all down and tanks were sitting duck. I couldn't advance to the capture area for that fear alone. But If there was a way to determine they were out of service i could have advanced and won. example - tank commander are able to spot opfor damage through binoculars?

It wouldn't be a pain, all they would do is turn the turret to use the .50 and say the swivel had a 360 turn they wouldn't have to move the turret much.. wherever the enemy was. I also thought the rear mgs requiring rear deck standing were to be manned by ground troops (non tank crew members) in support situations. If they see enemy they could just jump on and engage quickly. Maybe even a way of security like the M8s provided to the M10s.

I have never seen the M10 crew use the 50, it is swung around in the back is it usable? Do the crews have to stand on the back deck to use it or can it be done through open turret?

the strongest point of the half track was the front the windshield armor plate could probably stop rifle rounds (don't know if game lets them through) protecting driver and passenger but if the engine is hit there goes the whole truck.
