    Here's an Assault Sherman ("Jumbo") that I knocked out with a Panther at 260m range.
    As you see, nearly all shots bounced off the thick armour, but to my surprise, I got a penetration next to the barrel.

     
    Since I assume this is a solid block of metal, I don't see how the shot would go through at this particular point.
    Searching for some info online, I came across this pic of an Assault Sherman that was hit in this exact spot. This time by an 88. The shot didn't go through.

     
    I know of course that whether a shot penetrates depends on a lot of variables, so I'm not saying this is definitive proof that the game got it wrong.
    What I am saying is that this pic shows the cylinder around the gun barrel seems to be a very thick solid block of steel and not a weak point. (The actual shot that killed the Jumbo in this photo was one that hit the gunner's periscope, marked "9").
    After playing the game for nearly 10 years, I've noticed many cases of tanks getting knocked out by hits on their 'weapon mount', and this is just one example.
    So I'm saying it's possible this is a part of the tank armour that is somehow undermodelled by the game.

    The next Mission is ready for playtesting. 
    The Test-Version is named „Harasimovicze Close Combat Day“.
    You command mixed forces of Division“Totenkopf“and ad hoc units, defending the „Marder“Line in July 44.
    This is one of the huge missions during the campaign, but I put value to a reasonable playability, because I hate gigantic battles where players need endless time for every single turn….
    So, don‘t be put off by the size of the map (2x3km). 

    Volunteers are very welcome 😎

    gotta hand it to ya, nige', you and the rest of the team  have really  hit it for six with this one .  (yes, i had to look up the cricket equivalent to 'knock it out of the park'- stoopid yank.....).  just checking out all the maps so far, but i can already say that these maps feel like actual 'places', not just a space to play a game.  gonna have to find a way to balance this with wife, bird (parrot, not crumpet),  life, etc., because i think i'm gonna be spending a lot of time in your berlin, man.  and it didn't cost a penny...

    The 'All in One' update is almost finished & thanks to @Ithikial_AU, @umlaut , @t34577685 & @Kuli will feature a new look to the Soviet Infantry... including snowy uniforms.
    Here I try out a wintery version of the @rocketman scenario "Last Resort"...

    The final test phase for the „Tiger Trail“ Campaign is starting 💪🏻
    Furthermore, I need help of volunteers for three components:
    1. there are two missions ready for testing, where urban fighting around a railway bridge is to manage. Both missions are of middle size.
    2. there are plenty of huger missions of all typs (Breakthrough, Defense, Evacuation, Meeting) which will get better with every test run. 
     
    3. AND FINALLY:  
    I need at least one or two volunteers who will test the Beta-Version of the whole Campaign, which means a ton of fighting through 15 - 16 missions. 
    The Beta-Version will be ready in the first week of February. 

    So, I will be very pleased if anybody would PM me.

    Mate, if you don't play the game and don't load the textures then im afraid you will never get it, I made the mods in the way I like to play, if you don't like it then dont bother with it. Simple all these so called issues you point out aren't issues the games are designed to flow in a certain way, until you play them with all the textures on I can't help you. I never intended to link unimportant buildings, however many are, so you think I should spend 100s of extra hours to do this on every m,ap just to suit you. This game is crap at fighting inside. THERE ARE NO STAIRS NO FURNITURE, NO WINDOWS, JUST A RECTANGLE BOX, IF YOU WANT TO FIGHT INSIDE A BOX THEN CARRY ON ITS YOUR PRIVILEGE, I SUGGEST YOU INVEST YOUR TIME PLAYING HELL LET LOOSE OR COD OR ENLISTED, AS THEY CATER FOR THIS VERY WELL???

    You will never fight in this building for one and 2 there are doors on all exterior parts of this building, This is where the Soviets set up dude you don't need to go in there... And yet again you don't add the mod in full it's just the crappy default buildings.... You are being misled because you are not playing the scenarios and reading the briefs. Most people do not expect to move through the interior of building that will never be used but if you did you can fire from the outer buildings, I cant help if this is what the default building game engine does and quite frankly I would not be inclined to add all these doors (which takes ages) for a building that really will not ever see action. For christ sake mate, this mod is not for you bud, you didn't add the graphics on version 1 and it seems you won't on version 2....So what's the point of you downloading, I stand by my case so please bin it as I will not change this particular instance, as it's not required.

    Give it a rest son. If you don't have anything constructive to offer I might have to call on Mr Axeman. He needs to get his swinging arm in before the 30th Jan, or Bonce Napping Day as we call it in the Commonwealth.

    Amazing mod. So much effort. Perhaps this is a bug, but on the scenario "The Kroll Opera House" assaulting as the soviets there are no german defenders. I just casually ran into each point without being disputed.

    A similar thing happened in the Moltke Bridge scenario from the earlier mod. Hopefully this will get sorted soon.
