  1. While you're looking at the screen where you buy units in the scenario editor, is there a way to select a vehicle you've already bought and swap it out for a different vehicle without losing any of the placement and A.I. settings you've implemented? For example, I buy a Heer 251 halftrack, and position it on the map, then give it reinforcement and A.I. team data. Later I decide I'd rather have a Lynx instead. Can I swap out the 251 for the Lynx without altering the data? That would be handy.
  2. I guess I'm most interested in the functionality of firing a bazooka mounted on a recon plane. No way to test it... ...unless anyone here is a pilot and has a bazooka sitting around somewhere, in which case, what are you waiting for?
  3. We are talking about a very slow-moving plane, slower than a Stuka. If you were able to mount bazookas on it and get a few practice shots so you could predict the impact point at a specific altitude, attitude, and airspeed, I think you could hit a stationary or slow-moving target. Firing a bazooka rocket from a diving plane ought to improve its range and accuracy over firing it from a stationary position. Certainly you would be vulerable to small-arms fire though. On the other hand, it doesn't seem likely that an MG42 gunner would squander his ammo firing at a plane. I would think ammo for that particular weapon would be precious. It's interesting to think about, at least.
  4. The B-2, R-35, and the U304 halftracks. But hey, beggars can't be choosers, right?
  5. The price did strike me as a bit steep, but I bought the VP anyway. Now that I've played around with it a bit, I don't regret buying it at all. Love the B2 and the R35. EDIT: I didn't have any trouble with re-activation, either. I just followed the instructions very carefully.
  6. A movie that ends with me saying to myself, "Wow, that was dumb," is a bad movie, and bad filmmaking.

  8. See, this is enough by itself to ruin the whole experience for me, especially at the end. The ending is the most important part of the movie. I'll pass. You know what would actually be more challenging filmmaking and result in a better movie? Doing it right.
  9. Yeah, 100m is way too close to a CAS area target. If you're setting a CAS area target, I would use your imagination to double the size of the highlighted circle, and assume that's the actual target area.
  10. There's also a version that removes the death crosses completely. That's the one I use.
  11. Either the file repository here on Battlefront.com (you can find the link on the homepage), or GreenAsJade's CM Mods Warehouse: http://cmmods.greenasjade.net/ That second one you should know about anyway, apart from this project. It's a great site for CM fans.
  12. Well, the simplest solution I can think of would be to replace all the game's voice tracks with audio tracks that contain nothing but silence. I would use your favorite audio editing software (I use Audacity, myself - it's free and open source) to create a single .wav file with 1 second of silence, then make a bunch of copies of it and rename them to match all the voice files. If you don't know how to track down the voice files, you could download somebody else's voice mod to get the names. That will show you how a mod should be put together and used, too.
  13. +1 And happily bumping this thread since it's been several days now. Not that I'm worried or anything, but I have plans to make, you know...
  14. Basements and underground tunnels. And trenches and foxholes that are actually below ground.
  15. Billowy black (and white) burning vehicle smoke that flows over the ground with the wind (if any) before dispersing.
  16. I'm so poor, my cash is shorter than Verne Troyer in a three-foot hole!
  17. Ahh...Close Combat 2: A Bridge Too Far. An all-time classic IMO. The operational campaign lifted it from a good game to a great game. The outcome of a battle in one place had a direct effect on the starting conditions and resources available for a battle in another place.
  18. I've enjoyed the HoI games, but they're clearly WWII pasted on to an engine that wasn't specifically designed for that. For starters, most of Paradox's games have a timeframe of centuries, so when you make a game with a timeframe of about 10 years, it just doesn't work quite the same way. My favorite Paradox game is probably Victoria. I'm planning on buying Victoria 2 when it finally comes out in a complete package.
  19. From the research I did for my LW uniforms I'd say some of the feldblau uniforms were that blue, or even more. Those would be on one end of the spectrum of the variations in color though, with a sort of slate-bluegrey being most typical. The feld divisions seem to have used a wide array of uniforms and equipment because the original LW stuff was slowly phased out for standard Heer gear. There are even instances of uniforms with mixed LW and Heer insignia beacause because the latter became official but the original kit was still in use and wasn't withdrawn from service. Almost anything is possible, from full LW kit to full Heer kit.
  20. Looking good. What sort of LW uniforms are you planning? I haven't worked on my LW uniforms for a long time. Hopefully yours will be better than mine.
