  1. This is possibly my best mod (for me, humbly...of course) yet. At least I feel quite happy with two of my latest vehicle mods (M5 Halftrack and White Scout Cars). Modding it's a tough learning process for sure, you get stuck with habits and achieve similar results (if not worse) for months, and then, one day, after you discover a new technique, a new way of applying textures, your mods get a new level. But it is a matter of trying and trying and trying. I have been thinking lately about remodding (does this verb exist? ) my very first mods (Tigers, Shermans, Kubelwagen, Panthers,...) as I find I can improve them now.
  2. Why should I? Did I buy the modding rights or something like that, hehe? Nice to have vehicle modders, they give me more ideas and opportunities to learn something new and add variety to the game, so that people can choose. Let me say, that the Lynx might be the most difficult vehicle to achieve nice results when modding (not technically speaking, it's not hard to figure what goes where), but in the sense that it's not up to the standards of other vanilla textures. So, keep them coming!
  3. Done! (and uploading...) (there are further addtions to the mod not visible in the pic).
  4. Good job umlaut! If you need any weathering material for further mods, just PM me
  5. New interior floor, photoreal metal plates added. Not very visible once in battle, but enjoyable to mod Question, what material did Halftracks and armoured vehicle seats have, leather, ...?
  6. First decal set ready, on to the next!
  7. Ambulance! Hehe,...For those buddy aid maniacs out there...
  8. ...and its wheels...sad that they are not independent textures...
  9. White Scout Car_Work in Progress,..wheels unmodded, no decals yet, some more hours of work left.
  10. I'd say, "release it now!", but well, keep on working on it as long as you have fun with it. And have a shower from time to time, too.
  11. I can't but feel amazed on the amount on Megabytes I already modded I plan to mod all CW vehicles, but modding it's taking more and more time, so the vehicles will be going out of the production line at a slower rate. Next, the White Scout Car.
  12. Uploading... Texture mirroring, distortions and/or stretching on winshield, bumpers, fenders, hood...fun , sigh.
  13. The whole file would be maybe bigger than 1.5 GB, I know there are people who have created compilations and shared them via Dropbox, you may ask for it in the forum,...
  14. Too clean?? Hehe, you like dirty vehicles man Windows in down position is randomly displayed ingame, so it's possible but not selectable by player. The vertical bar attached to the front fender it's impossible to add without modelling in 3D.
  15. ..and now the Jeep. An improved version of my previous Jeep Mod, with added detail. Eliminated many of my previous mod's unrealistic weathering features. Textures stretch like no other vehicle in CMBN, as they adapt and extend to cover round surfaces, (check the bumper in the WIP preview, horrible, isn't it?)unavoidable, sadly. I'll see how decals behave, fingers crossed,... Edit: again, windscreen has the same texture for outside and inside, so it's impossible to add formation signs and markings there without getting bad results. Bridge Signs can't be added to radiator fins since they distort too.
  16. Again,... front and rear fenders are mirrored, so it's plain impossible to add marking and formation signs. This happened on the Humber too, so I suspect it's something that may happen often in the game 3D models. Decal amount will be low due to unhistorical results.
  17. On to the M5 Lend-Lease Halftracks.... Holiday time here, so it will be ready next week ...
  18. I was unable to modify and add markings and insignias to rear fenders, as both left and right ones are mirrored and show the same scheme. I guess it was a way to save on polygons in the 3D models but I hope it doesn't happen on more vehicles in CW...
  19. All that can be done is modify the bitmaps for the explosion cycle and the smoke. BUT we cannot modify the explosion density, the particles or its behaviour, and that's what would add extra realism to the game. Eye candy may be improved, but not the nature of the explosion itself, sad but true.
  20. Uploaded with just 4 decal options, sorry , been busy lately. Enjoy it!
