  1. Some explaining to do, hehe, yes, but,...where to start, granddad? First of all, i will purchase the Italy module in 2-3 days, then, see if I can mod the terrain,...BTW, is it much better than the stock CMBN terrain? Thanks for the warm welcome guys.
  2. It's been a long long time for me since I left so it may take a lot of time to get to know the news of the module and what has happened lately and what I have missed , and see if I can contribute as I did in the past. Glad to post here again,...See you soon!!
  3. After a long break due to a high workload at the office, work goes on with the Churchill V, the Last of the Few,...will be ready on Monday.
  4. I am working on the Churchill V at the moment (and Marder I from patboy), but will be very busy in the work this week, so don't expect nothing else from me until weekend.
  5. Churchill V maybe ? Regarding the KT,...there are only two hull options as I didn't want the zip to be HUGE. Anyway, Tiger IIs had minimal markings in the hull and were recognized by the markings in the turret. KTs didn't have just 101, 102, etc. Depending on the company it could be 201, 202...204 (for second company 1 Zug), 211, 212, (second company second Zug or platoon) or 301, 302,...(for the third company...) roman numbers were used for command Tiger I and IIs,or (007, oo8, 009 in certain battalions)...and so on...I don't have the time now to further explain it, but sure someone can post a much better explanation. I picked individual units from different battalions and companies (and platoons). Edit: patboy already posted a good reference site: http://ww2armor.jexiste.fr/Files/Axis/Axis/2-Organization/Germany/2-Organization/sPz.Abt/sSS-PzAbt-101.htm
  6. It's on the works, but it's another toughie...it doesn't look good at all at this stage,...man, I am getting exhausted , hehe.
  7. Uploading to CMMODs, available shortly (edit: now)(thanks GaJ). The one in the Repository will have to wait ( as happens with my Pz II Lynx) until Monday.
  8. Ok, eleven or twelve decal sets for the turret and 2 or 3 for the hull will be enough... Arghh, those stretched textures under the turret hurt my eyes, sigh...
  9. Decals and decals ...and decals,...I hope they can make up the textures under them at least I may have this finished today. I won't definitely spend more time on weathering or improving the base. The more I try the worse it looks, so as it sometimes happens if it's ok, don't touch it.
  10. I modded the walls myself time ago, so if you need any help, just ask for it here
  11. The stock King Tiger textures are not that difficult to modify: the lack of quality of the Tiger II and the colors used (even if somehow correct for the Heavy Tank Abteilungs in Normandy until August 44) are too bright and oversaturated for my liking. In Autumn 44, King Tigers were painted beautiful ambush schemes (too difficult for this modder to replicate but definitely much more appealing than what we have got now). The MAIN problem with the vanilla Tiger II is that some mappings of the bitmaps to the 3D model stretch and others are mirrored. (the most notorius is the base of the rear hull under the turret). The 3d model hasn't got spare tracks attached, buckets, ammo boxes or any other german gear on the the hull, which we got used with previous german tanks in the game, also, the rear hull is not as detailed as his little brother's. Take into account that I am modifying textures but not improving the model itself, so there is limited scope for improval. Decals definitely add to the immersion, but don't make up for the simplicity of the 3d model.
  12. Sad that this Pz.Abt 501 Tiger only served in Poland, it looks so good to me...
  13. Ok then, you'll have 2 sets for them. The 505 used to paint the barrel and add markings there too, but with the 3d mapping in CMBN it's impossible to add them,...
  14. I found some references in my library. BTW, the PzAbt 505 took part in Kursk, was later deployed at Smolensk and eventually fought at East Prussia until the end of the war. ...this beast doesn't like being modded, what a nightmare.
  15. patboy: thanks a lot man, too late for the Luchs, but in time for the KT. umlaut: no problem, I can make an abt. 505 KT for you. ian.leslie: glad you like them.
  16. Let's give it another try...never surrender, always forward...
  17. Actually my CMBN looks like that, boche!! Hehe, in my dreams at least, XD.
  18. Man, this must be the most difficult vehicle I have ever modded...it will take many coffees and beers...and tons of patience and humility. (wheels are unmodded yet, even they will make me sweat)
  19. THANKS to all of you. Actually you too give me that little extra energy I sometimes need to finish this enormous task.
  20. Having some fun with it after finishing the mod. I don't want to expend more time on it, not a very enjoyable base to work with. I'll upload it to The Repository and CMMODs shortly. Markings are purely optional as they haven't been extensively researched.
