  1. Oh yes, next module is going to be a blast. You gotta love the brits and all their nice light stuff. I am looking forward to Humbers, brencarriers and maybe some hetzers for ze germans as well. @Gryphonne, nice pic. Makes me think about Arnhem for some reason
  2. Jay! You just made a very happy man What's it called so I can recognize it when I feverisly boot up CM:BN for the first time in that late april day?
  3. Hi all, as we all have to kill some time till the end of april comes around let's discus which AFV or weapon you are looking forward to play with in CM:BN the most. For me it is the sdkfz.250-9. Why? Because I love the small stuff and my beloved Hetzer does not make an appearance yet. And as a gamey bastard I love cheap little armoured vehicles that can bolster an attack. And that is why I picked the 250-9, it's small, mobile, and got a 20-mm to plink at infantry and light armour with. I can already imagine racing these boys around the map (and getting them killed by AT fast most likely ). On the allied side I am looking forward to the M8 GMC. Got to play with some unskinned ones at the preview and they are just the furious little HE chuckers I hoped them to be :-P. What toy are you looking forward to test out in CM:BN? And why?
  4. Great post. Especially on a wargaming forum. And some interesting reads about bocage tactics in this thread. Let's ignore steinerism and move on.
  5. I was thinking something similar but with a SSD. But is it still so that 64 bit Windows use 6gig bit ram max? Or is that an old Notion?
  6. You're talking Logic and I can not hear you. *puts fingers into ears and starts to sing loudly*
  7. On a somewhat related note I am seriously contemplating building a new gaming rig just for CM:BN . It's a brutal battle between Logic and desire.
  8. I plan to have a good bottle of scotch and some old cheese ready and play until the dawn, most likely with disturbing grin on my face. But anyways, we first have to survive another night of refreshing monkeys. I Hope you are alle training your f5 skills like I am
  9. I would actually pay for a CMBO version on the Ipad
  10. Nice. I really like the loading screen! I wonder if the bright green in the main menu can be downplayed a bit though. That doesn't seem fitting with CM:BN's setting.
  11. Really enjoying reading this thread, let's keep the stories coming.
  12. Every update makes me admire the Nice screenshots. CM:BN is a pretty game for sure.
  13. No. Beaches, landing craft ect. are not moddelled in CM:BN. It is aimed on the land combat after the landings instead.
  14. Bit of the same deal. (meaing I was there pretty early, but I am nowhere so important as Rune ofc :-P) Read somewhere on a 'WW2 forum' that some small developer was making a 'real 3d wargame' and got hooked on the BFC forum because there were such interesting discussions on WW2 tanks and tankwarfare going on there. Oh all the memories of all the intersting stuff I learned from these boards and all the WW2 books it made me buy. Great times. Stuck around and saw the development from roughly the aplha - demo - till release. I strongly remember playing the CMBO demo's to death and marveling at the level of detail happening automagically on my PC. CMBO seemed like heaven those days to WW2 tactical combat lovers. I spaced out during the 'CMSF age' and now am back happily lurking and reading all the lovely discussions here. And I really hope CMBN will be just a great a joy / timesink as CMBO was for me. The previews sure made me thinks so :-)
  15. I think that was with the 741st Heeres Panzer Jager Abteilung partly send to the Arnhem sector on 22nd of september 1944. Meanwhile the first had been sent to the eastern front as early as in july.
  16. I bet it is the 'aroma' seeping from the Peng thread. Anyways, I Hope sales go well and BFC gets filthy rich.
  17. Also, doesn't this look nice and filthy/muddy to you guys? (even with detail loss through compression). I say it looks jummy. and this and this What's the problem?
  18. Woohoo! Great updates again. Pretty pictures and the 'firing through smoke sequence' is pretty darn interesting. Thanks for that. Seems like Bil's carefull positioning is paying off and lady luck is swinging sides. Also nice to see Shermans doing what they do best, burning on the field :-P. They do use a lot of smoke though. Heh.
  19. Weird aar writing style But indeed a pretty QB map that and some pretty interesting screenshots.
  20. Of course we get all excited about the gameplay mechanics and we are discussing at length whether pzkwIV's should eat Shermans for breakfast or not. Whilst we do that I wanted to give a little cheer to Bil. Great work on the AAR's mate! Very nice maps that make it easy to get situational awareness. Clear write-up. Very nice screenshots. Greatly appreciated and keep it up!
