I bought multiple copies of the CMBN Tin Box edition. I run the game on OS X and my son runs it on Windows.

I looks like the activation server is back up now. I was able to successfully activate. (Too bad it is time for bed...) Hopefully, I have some time tomorrow to play.

Huh? For A, it is clear from the posts that the activation service isn't working. Knowing the root cause is interesting but doesn't allow me to play the hundreds of dollars in software that is currently rendered unusable because I can't activate it (even though I have activated it numerous times in the past - usually with difficulty). You did warn me that I might have to re-activate. I probably shouldn't have tried to upgrade. For B, a developer myself, I'm certainly not knocking copy protection and fully understand why you do it. I'm just having an issue with your implementation. I've had numerous activation problems in the past. Tonight is no exception. There are other systems, in my opinion, that protect software but provide much more customer friendly ways of allowing customers to use the software they paid for (e.g. play on any machine you want (Mac or Windows - if both are supported by the game) but on only one machine at a time, upgrade without reactivating, play offline, etc.). For C, I doubt that the people that use pirated software care about whether they have the latest release or not. They can get a copy of the game and play for free. Right now I've paid but I can't play. Sorry for venting but I finally had a free night tonight and really wanted to play CMBN.

Same problem here.... "Unable to connect to any activation server. Please check your firewall and re-try." I always have issues upgrading and am frustrated by activation schemes that keep paying customers from using the software (and are subverted by those that don't).

I had some questions about stacking commands at the same place in the tutorial: How many commands can you stack on one selected waypoint? How can you see what commands you have stacked on a waypoint? In the tutorial, they stack a Deploy Weapon and a Cover Arc on one waypoint.

Thanks for the responses. I hope to play on the road with my Air but I guess I'll have to wait to see how it really performs. If it doesn't work, I'll just play on my 27" iMac at home since they won't let me take it on planes when I travel. I would pay for a CMBO version on the iPad as well!

Does anyone know whether my 2010 Macbook Air will be sufficient to run the game under OSX?
