I know, I know, wrong Elvis.  But still, it is my humble yet (I'm sure you'll agree) expert opinion that you are the perfect voice of, and face for, BFC. Seriously! You have great communication skills dealing this somewhat, at times, hinky crowd.
Just a shout out appropo of nothing, except maybe this alcoholic beverage I'm holding.

mjkerner got a reaction from BletchleyGeek in CM Fortress Italy v2.11 patch has been released
It apparently was that way in the 210 version (R2V release) and just overlooked by everyone. I had originally checked the games' "active " brz (the one in the  program files x86 folder). But I just checked my copied-and-exploded R2V brzs made at the time I installed it, and that texture is also unfinished. So it was unfinished from the git go.

I think that Dartford Mick and the Tax Dodgers had something to say about staying in the shadows. Although they were probably talking about Kentish heathland, rather than Norman bocage.

That's good news, RockinHarry.  Thanks for pushing BFC on the issue.

I haven’t been able to tell, Aragorn, because Bootie is the “author” for CMMODS IV purposes, as far as I can tell. I don’t have author status. I’m not sure, but I don’t think any—or many, at least—of the modders do yet. I assume it is because of the massive transfer of all the mods from CMMODS III and other databases is still ongoing.
You'll be happy to know I started on the British-based goumier mod, though.

Until Elvis comes along, CMRT Fire and Rubble and a module  (CW?) for CMFB, IIRC.

I'm still buzzing over CMRV. I would never have named Indian, South African and Free French forces as additions I would love to see, but I've been enjoying them immensely since the game came out.
What would I like BF to do next? Surprise me - I'm certain to love it

    Edit:
Also, I know as a community we've been over this ground time and time again, but -- we know BF is a small company, they work for months and years bringing out these amazing, detailed, realistic historical simulations, recently we've had SF2 and RV, which were both fantastic and took huge amounts of work, but almost as soon as a release comes out, members of the community start griping that it isn't enough and that they've been waiting too long for some other detailed and amazing theatre.
I just wish there were a bit more positivity in the community - we're all grown ups, aren't we? We realise that hard work is actually hard work...?

So - haven't played CM in literally years, but was beta tester and wrote some of the missions on CMRT and CMBS.  However, I am now a die-hard IL2 addict, playing the latest IL-2 Great Battles series (IL2 BoX ie. Battle of X - Stalingrad, Moscow, Kuban, Bodenplatte and the upcoming Normandy).  IL2 BoX has some issues, but to say that the visuals are astounding is an understatement.  Flight models and damage models are a very close second to DCS for realism.  Online multiplayer is superb.  With head tracking and HOTAS, it is completely immersive, and I am only awaiting the right VR headset to take that plunge.  FWIW I believe the summer sale is still on, with most of the titles (minus the brand new ones) available at 50-75% off.  Note:  IL2 also built "Flying Circus" onto the base of "Rise of Flight" to simulate WWI aviation and it is an amazing sime and lots of fun as well.  Also of note, the IL2 Cliffs of Dover - the Battle of Britain sim that was the immediate predecessor of IL2 BoX (came after IL2 1946) is coming out very soon with IL2 Tobruk, which will feature a truly incredible level of aircraft, both existing and new, modded for the North Africa campaign.  If you are into flight sims at all you should check it out.  Cliffs and Tobruk are only on Steam (I bought BoX direct from 1C Games, to ensure the devs got all my dollars).  I think Cliffs of Dover is currently $6 and change.  For a taste of IL2 BoX look up either Der Sheriff https://www.youtube.com/c/SheriffsSimShack or iFlyCentral https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCg6U2wqGyO2APRoFJwOoztA- both Youtubers - who post great content.  Not a cheap hobby, but I am consistently amazed at the quality of the community and sometimes have fun just flying formation or doing acrobatics - its that realistic and beautiful.

I agree with Erwin.  I always buddy aid my men,  even at times when the rest of the team/squad is really needed elsewhere.  Like a lot of others, I use 2ic's and (occasionally) crews for that duty too, but prefer to have the same team/squad do it when possible, since they can use the weapons/ammo more than the other types. I always move bailed crews to the rear ASAP anyway, but the occasional casualty littering the path of advance is a good subject for their first aid skills.

FYI, Bootie messaged me that he would get to uploading this at CMMODS IV today. I’m heading to the Wyoming/Montana mountains for the next 10 days myself, so I hope no one has any problems with the mod. I will be in occasional touch with the world, but don’t know when/how often. Fingers crossed that all goes well for you guys!

Thanks Fellas, I'm actually happy with this one as well. I'll be working on modding the US and British into goumiers so that you will have a lot more scenarios to use them in.
One thing I forgot to mention in the Readme regarding mod tags: although as stated I didn't use any of my own mod tags in this mod (I will use "goum" when I do get around to adding them),  I did use all the default mod tags BFC uses  for the faces (skins),  because without doing so, I couldn't get my skin  mods (bareheaded and with turbans) to show up in Quick Battles.

This weekend for sure. I sort of went the way of BFC with CMSF2 and Rome to Victory and kept adding options, tweaking bits and pieces, or finding new ways to do things at the last minute. I decided to use tags after all, but still need to check all the texture names, tweak a few more textures, and we’re good to go. I mean it this time, lol!

Stopping by to give you anxious ones---you know who you are, lol---a quick update. I'm running behind, but not for lack of working, just keep thinking of things I need to do, add. takeout, etc., plus literally at the last minute I found a couple of new techniques by accident that actually make certain things look better. I still might have it ready to send to Bootie tonight, but give me a day or two slack if not.
    Thanks.

@rocketman, I noticed that when testing.   I didn't mod any "coveralls" or the M41 uniform, just the French greatcoat. The game apparently draws the greatcoat texture for open top vehicle crews in winter settings.
