  1. Fuser, gorgeous as always. I second Peter Panzer...work until you drop!
  2. @Warrior, no, not one based on EZ's work...he didn't do any modification of the armor crew uniform. I can re-upload my earlier armor crew patches mod, but the uniforms aren't as crisp and detailed as EZ made these ones. @sdp, I can't take credit for the uniforms, only for the tedium of applying the patches.
  3. Apparently, it's not the mod. I asked this same question a couple of weeks ago...The Airborne Infantry and Infantry formations in the selection screen share the Special Teams pool, and so some are in airborne unifroms and some are in infantry ones...which really doesn't make a lot of sense, but hey, watcha gonna do? IIRC, the first team in the list of multiple ones like scouts (?...not near the game, atm), is the airborne uniform. Other teams like the AT team have only the infantry uniform.
  4. 58 last week. You young whippersnappers...Normal Dude, you get off my lawn!
  5. @Canada Guy from Saskatoon, who wants a Canadian Campaign, you seem...oh, I don't know....Canadian? Am I right?
  6. It's also possible (since Steve mentioned it sometime back) that they will farm out some work to 3rd parties, like they did for CM:Afghanistan. Maybe Itlay or North Africa, or even bits and pieces of the PTO?
  7. Doesn't it have something to do with the orientation of the bocage corner in relation to the action spot?
  8. Dennis...that was my story too. I could have sworn I was in the CMBN section when I started my upload that got screwed up, but I also ended up in CMAK.
  9. Umlaut, apparently it's determined by when the administrator(s) are able to get around to reviewing it. It could also be that you uploaded it to the wrong game...at least that has happened to me before. I'm sure you know all this, but for others who haven't uploaded anything yet, the upload screen is not the best for showing the options as to what game (CMBN, CMSF, etc.)and what part of that game (Mods/Scanaios/Maps) you want to upload into. The first file/scenario/mod upload option box only gives you two options into the game that you chose...Mods and the general Repository area (in CMBN, that first screen with the highway tutorial if memory serves). But if you do multiple uploads at one time, the second and subsequent files has the option box giving you all the possible BFC games in which to upload. If you're not paying attention, like me at 3:00 am one time, you can end up uploading it to CMAK or whatever. The default should be to the game you chose the first time. Plus, you can't load a picture at all until after the mod is actually available, unless I'm blind (which could very well be the case, it seems lately); then you have to go back in as if you want to download your own mod in order to edit in a picture. BFC, fix or somefink.
  10. Lol, that's a great description, BloodyBucket. I do have the Italian Campaign uniforms re-tooled and up in the Repository and at CMMODS, but haven't finished all the Normandy units yet. But I do have the 28th ID done, in case you are interested...
  11. Put those 'shrooms down, son, and back slowly away from the table!
  12. Mord's Mod voices, sdp's Italian Campaign Mod, and there are so many more....
  13. Thanks Marco. Now why didn't I think of that? Jeez, could they make it any more complicated? The more I read, the more I'm wondering why they picked the bmp format for transparencies. Anyway, I'll give this a go and let you know how it turns out. Thanks so much, Marco.
  14. RockinHarry, I have spent the better part of two days trying to figure this out. My head is spinning. I read that 24 bit bmp's don't support alpha channels, but 32 bit does, and the CMSF discussion confirms that. But I thought CMBN bmp's were 24 bit??? Anyway, I'm still pretty lost--I need to figure how to do masks and alpha channels in Gimp...quite a bit different than PSP. If Aristotle or sdp read this, can one of you jump in and tell me how you modded all the foliage and bocage files? Thanks a million to everyone who has chimed in. I'm determined to figure this out because there is a lot more modding to be done over the life of the CMBN franchise.
  15. LOL, Ithikial, join the club! I was planning to do the battles of A Co. 1st Batt 505th AB from taking La Manoir through the German attacks, then do the 325th's attack across to Cauquigny and beyond. But when Normal Dude announced that his La Fiere map was almost done about a month or so ago, considering his expertise from CMSF and with CMBN, I let it drop for the time being. Than sdp's Italian Mod took over, and I'm now firmly in Italy for a while. LemuelG, great job and I like how you kinked the bend on the east end of the causeway. On mine, I've only got the marsh, causeway and roads (partially) laid out, and the Cauquigny church almost done. The building to the north is a placemarker for La Fiere village, and the two on the south of course mark the Manoir. I'll finish it one day...just to finish it if nothing else. But I'm looking forward to playing on yours.
  16. A thoughtful scenario designer will put a different colored tile under the gaps, which would reflect reality anyway becaue foot and animal paths would wear the ground there.
  17. Yes, it is good. I've been using it since the demo, with bits and pieces from other weapon sound mods...veins for one.
  18. Thanks for the suggestion, Stoppel. So, just to be clear, if I save the mask layer in an alpha channel, then the bmp image should be good to go, correct?
  19. Hey, look at it this way: Time is money. You're too busy of a guy to spend time with details that are so obviously effed up. Next!
  20. Man, Gimp has been around forever, and a lot of guys into IL2 seemed to used that program, but I didn't ever mod that game in the 9 years I was addicted to it.
