Not that anyone wants this, but here's my thoughts since the fronts are relatively quiet today.
1.  How will Prig die?  We should start a poll on this.  He's rather high profile for a balcony accident.  'Heart attack' is possible.  But why not get some popular outrage going?  I think an FSB bomb that is then claimed to have been planted by UKR 'terrorists' to take a out a great RU hero.  That's my vote.
2.  Where will the main effort be?  We all think the south, it certainly is the richest target, and I think so also.  But UKR doing a nice job of trying to pull RU forces away from there w attacks in RU proper, plus attacks around Bakhmut.  Meanwhile, UKR doing deep strikes on HQs, barracks, & logistics very far behind RU lines.  Putin's head has to be spinning, assuming someone is telling him.
3.  The strikes on Kyiv are dreadful and despicable but militarily it does have a positive side:  all those missiles weren't hitting things that could disrupt the UKR campaigning season.  So in the end it's just more murder but does not hinder what's coming.
4. videos are anecdotal, of course, but we're seeing lots of videos showing that warfare is still up close and personal like WW1.  All the fancy weapons give one side huge advantages but in the end still gotta did the rats out of the holes.  Why don't they surrender???  RU soldiers just cowering in holes like that will save them when the trench is clearly overrun??  Dude, wave a white flag!!!
5.  what happens to RU prisoners upon return to the motherland?  there's been lots of exchanges.  Why exchange if RU is just going to shoot or jail them?  So I am guessing they are put right back into the line?
6.  Sunflowers are sprouting in my yard, multiple locations, some unexpected.  Clearly this is an omen, presaging the fulfilling of prophecy.

I have to say I am in awe of Ukraine.
They have done brilliantly on the battlefield both relatively and absolutely.  They have been both student and teacher.
Their president has been masterful at gaining international support and staying in the fray.
They are very good with opsec and consistent messaging
I think they have no equal when it comes to trolling.  This trans border raid is brilliant.  The sinking of the Moskva on the day the snake island stamp gets released.  The constant, truly funny and well done jabs.
The incredible people of Ukraine who are true patriots -your bravery is amazing but needed in this existential threat.

Do you know the source? 7k seems very large for this kind of operation, basically 2 brigades equivalent, while most analytics here seem to compare it more to commando raid. So rather around batalion size, maybe even less.

Ukraine MOD has done a pretty good job of keeping its card players holding their hands. This Belgorod situation strikes me as part of a much bigger plan than just the vaunted counter offensive. Surely those in the know must have something cooking, and I think it to be one of turning the wolves loose on Putin himself.
The action, the timing, THE place, and especially the force makeup, I think turns the tables as it now forces Putin to react to the political reality of fighting not only his deputies, but now his "country men" themselves.

It's getting complicated.

So this is what shaping looks like.  If true, this would be a very effective way to get Russian forces moving away from the areas of a planned major offensive.  Indirect approach of employing Russian insurgents is a brilliant stroke, a proxy war within a proxy war.  Not sure if this is just hopeful rumor but we could be seeing the start of the offensive.

Cherry on top: Su-35 was almost certainly flying SEAD for tonight’s round of cruise missiles.

Two UKR soldiers went at the night to no man land in 50 m from enemy positions to take a body of fallen comrade. During this task they engaged enemy patrol or next shift, coming to position and likely having advantage in NV optic killed 2 Russians and 3 wounded.
